So all that's needed is the engine, gearbox, loom, ecu, peddlebox, left side engine mount and I can put the Polo GTI 1.6 16v engine into my Lupo 1.0? Could you help me source the correct mount or sell me one? Would I need to change the driveshafts? Thanks for the help arosabinns.

That's what I was thinking about the golf engine, yes you're right my car is an 02 plate. Unfortunately buying another Lupo is out of the question as I've done too much to this one to make it viable. I'll have to look into other conversions rather than the 8v 1.6. Hopefully someone can shed some light on what's compatible with an AUC engine code. Thanks for all your help it's really been appreciated. The engine code is AUC, the gearbox is ESY. It's FBW throttle and a cable clutch afaik. Anyone?

Also found a 1.6 AEE engine from a Golf, any ideas if that would work? Thanks.

Painted my calipers, put on my dice caps and washed/waxed the car inside/out also got my private reg and plates on. Not much more planned at the moment, looking into engine conversion. Decided to take some pics as it was a lovely day. Also took some of our landscapes. Thanks for reading.

Ah right I see, I've found a Polo Saloon 1.6 8v with engine code AUR, do you know if this will work as I can't seem to find anything about it as it's the only breaking car I can find locally. Really need your help on this one as you appear to be the only person who has done it. Get some pics/vids up! Thanks for the help.
