  1. I could quite easily spend £500 a month on petrol alone at the rate i use my car. Made me think about putting the 1.0 Loop back on the road!
  2. I've found a abandoned one near me, silver 1.4s, untouched!
  3. I wore a flat peak cap for my test as the examiner can easily see that moving for when you're checking your mirrors.
  4. Lupo is now just sat on the drive, either waiting to be sold or waiting till i can be bothered to do some more things to it, shall keep that quiet though. Heres the next project. 10 hour road trip with the gf to pick it up from Hull. Its mint, slightly bubbling on the rear arches but generally solid. Never seen a body shop either. Needs some bits doing, front wing is creased but i'll sort that in due time. Completely standard poverty spec 1.0 interior. No cig lighter, no rev gauge, no side air vents! 1x 10cm dash speaker, makes a change from the Lupo. Numberplate is pretty cool as well. And the engine. X16XE out of a Corsa B, about 120bhp as standard. Its quick. Apparently does a 14.6 quarter mile but i reckon more mid 15's at a push. Got an Ashley 2" system sitting here, and an Ashley 4-1 manifold which both should take it up to about 130bhp. Got some bodies sitting in my garage, a lightened flywheel in my lockup, and may have some cam's on the way. Going to take my time with it, step by step, but i aim for late this year to be at 180bhp at least. Wheels are first step though, things never change eh? The Wellers didn't go over the brakes, and the offset was all wrong. Will be on the hunt for something shiney after Winter.
  5. Scotty, how could he take the rear black strip off the boot! I'll get a thread of mine soon, got big power coming from it soon.
  6. It wasn't parked next to a lower yellow Lupo was it? Ben, sent you a text.
  7. They got your numberplate in the wrong place.
  8. 1.4s is 16v 75bhp, Sport is 16v 100bhp. People will probably say they didn't make one, but i'm sure i saw 1.4e 8v 75bhp for sale when looking at buying one.
  9. Not any old Nova. 2 door mk1 saloon, mint. Slammed on Pulsar wheels. Much better daily than the Loop.
  10. Mine were £8 and i havnt seen bulbs any yellow-er. Ben's (LGG's) suck I'll let you find them though.
  11. That was with Admiral changing from Direct Line. I'm now paying £800 for a 1.0 Nova. Nova FTW.
  12. Thats pretty cheap, 2ync for me on a 1.0 Lupo was £122.22 a month.
  13. Yes/no. Depends on the copper. If they were harsh they'd probably give you a producer and ask you to take them off. I've been pulled so many times and my wheels have been mentioned once and they are probably worse.
  14. They are 7n offset, so im guessing thats -7 ET. Will sit exactly the same as Hodge's in that case. Lots of archwork needed. And yes, you need 16 wobble bolts. 4 per wheel times 4.. makes sense really doesn't it?
  15. You want to copy the URL of the image. Photobucket shows it, if not right click, properties, copy the URL and put it inbetween
  16. Thats utter tosh. Legislation from VOSA for SVA testing Section D: Wheels, if there are no pointed or sharp features which projects beyond the external plan of the wheel rim, no wing nuts are fitted and there are no projections beyond the vehicle body form aprt from wheel discs or tyres (including central wheel securing nuts) if the latter have a radius of curvature of not less than 30mm and do not project by more than 30mm beyond the vehicle body plane. Said that exact paragraph to an officer who pulled me over for running poke, and all i got was "very well, you sound like you know your stuff." Regarding stretched tyres and insurance, as said, if the tyre is out of its recommendation, then insurance can get out of paying out easy.
  17. LGG or Jowey as they are the only people i can actually have a conversation with.
