  1. Apparently Ive made some enemies for myself living where I do now. Someone has scratched my car again. But this time they made sure they did a ****in good job. Scratches on each side going across the door and rear quarters. Deep, angry looking scratches. I dont know why I ****ing bother trying to have a nice car. might aswell just buy a corsa b for £200 and they can write there ****ing names in it for all I care.
  2. I've thought about a B16 conversion when my mates civic got written off. But I haven't the money or technical knowledge to do it. It would be amazing though, I love the sound of 8.5k rpm.
  3. How do I go about getting a title under my username? Do I have to do something special?
  4. Yeah I just got standard ones, as the bosch aero ones were out of stock. They got me through my mot though so all good : )
  5. Hey, I have my MOT at 3.00 today and I need new wipers. I want to upgrade to the Aero style rubber blades. Do these fit straight on to my original wiper arms, or shall I just get standard ones just to get me through? Cheers, Rob.
  6. Mines W reg and I don't : (
  7. "However she probably failed to realise that – while the existence an anonymised picture of you flashing your underwear isn’t a particularly risky thing in itself – having a picture of you posted on Google Maps while flashing your underwear at work is probably another matter. Update: We’ve been contacted by the business owner, and it turns out this is indeed a farm nursery after all. In fact, they think it’s as funny as we do, and the woman involved will not be disciplined in any way."
  8. hahah thats briliant. looks to me like someone left a pair of cutters on top of the camera lol. Have you seen http://googlesightseeing.com ?
  9. Haha! Found my old lupo outside my mums aswell, isn't technology great? PS They'd have a job robbing the camera, Its pretty securely fastened to the roof.
  10. Yeah place called tyres northampton. behind matalan in sixfields, real nice new place, they have wifi for while you wait, xbox for the kids, and better decor than most clubs in n-town! That doesnt mean they can charge me £40 for a 13" budget tyre but they did. & about £80 for the suspension geometry check and adjust. I dont know if this is normal but it impressed me, they gave me a printout which showed how the car was set up before and after adjustment. turns out you cant guess camber angles hahaha
  11. On Joweys recommendation I had my suspension geometry aligned at a performance garage with £40k lasers and the difference is amazing. I have a new tyre on the front o/s so havent had a chance to really push it but already the difference is astounding. Feels far more planted through corners, understeeers less, and the steering feels sharp and precise. I cant believe I drove round with -2.4 degrees camber and -0.06 degrees toe on front o/s and -1.2 with +0.06 degree toe on the n/s and wondered why it wasnt handling well. I put it down to the cheap coilovers but its pretty obvious what was up. So, highly recommended to anyone hasnt had there suspension set up properly after fitting.
  12. So someone keyed my drivers door friday night. My mates van was done aswell. **** you Rushden. That is all.
  13. I was behind a black lupo coming down rushmere road, it was then that I noticed the GTi badge, but you didnt have a centre exit exhaust. Then when I overtook you at the barnes meadow interchange, You didnt have the GTi bumpers either. Why lie?
  14. The best advice I can give someone who is doing there driving test is "drive like you are taking the piss out of your mums driving" it worked for me. Edit : Reading above, I see that you've passed already, congratulations. But the advice still stands.
  15. Haha this thread is brilliant. Now I may be wrong with this statement as I've never owned any of the cars mentioned, but I did my research on parkers facts & figures and concluded that: Its already been said that the GTi is slower than a VTS. Now in the grand scheme of things, the top of the range VTS still isnt quick. As long as its not completely bottom of the range, most "rep-mobiles" (3/5 series, Vectras, Insignias, a4's, mondeos etc.) will keep up with a VTS until it tops out at 127mph. What the lupo does do however, regardless of engine size, is make you smile. I've converted 2 of my mates who drive "big boy" cars. They both used to slate my car, until they drove it, both of them turned round and said its fun to drive. Just a 1l on coilies but its still chuckable. Just depressing putting the power on after the apex, only for nothing to happen. Now what really annoys me is people who drive quick cars slowly. I'm following a corvette down a country road, hes sat at 35-40 so at the next clear straight i move into the other side of the road at which point he notices, floors it and leaves me. ONLY TO CARRY ON AT 40 WHAT A FACKING TOOL. Or another day I was following 2 jap cars in convoy. I overtook them as they were sunday driving an I had to make pace, Only to get overtaken by them 30 seconds later, absolutely screaming in VTEC trying there hardest to make eye contact with me as they pass. Well done you overtook a 1l. ah well....
  16. Lol What kid wants to play with a renault trafic?
  17. I love the snow. I cant help but be immature and reach for the handbrake at every oppurtunity, makes me feel proper rally, Even though Im only doin 15mph!
  18. Well I fitted the coilovers with the objective of reducing body roll (and looking pimp) But with the standard 175/65/13's the body roll is caused by the massive sidewall flexing. haha. Im also worried that if I get rid of that nice van spec tyre the ride will be even harsher. feels like my shocks have been welded up as it is! Yeah the nankangs aren't bad if you're looking for a strange size tyre at a good price . I had some 155/55/14 NS2's once. They might have done me some good in this weather! (desperate for some stretch lol, Not that you can really stretch onto a 6" rim) But Im tempted to go for the potenza's and pay an extra £30something on all 4 as I had a set of bridgestones aswell and was quite happy with them. But as I mentioned earlier its a question of £££. Cheers for your help mate.
  19. I was toying with the idea of some g60 steels and some 15" hubcaps for the budget-concious modifier. haha Thanks to your arosa looking so sick on those hubcaps, I am now "re-toying" with this idea. Needs a service though and unortunately that has to come first. : ( P.S You mentioned earlier you drive all day with no worries of scrubbing. What tyres are you running? Because im all the way down on the TA Technix also, and scrubbing was 1 of my concerns. Ideally want to get some 195s on there for the grip. P.P.S Then again its only a 1l on cheap as chips coilies so isnt fast and doesnt handle well, so i wouldnt be losing all that much in terms of performance lol
  20. Does anyone have any pictures of lupos with the mk2 GTi Bottletops? My mate has a set going at a very reasonable price, and if they look any good I could be tempted. They're currently in white, but I reckon the white against silver might be too light, I think a nice satin black would break it up better. Bloody 60 profile tyres though!
  21. Im pretty sure its not the stretching of tyres that is illegal, more that using tyres outside manufacturers spec may void your insurance, making it illegal for you to be on the road.
  22. 170,000 divided by 24,901.5 = 6.8Something Your car has been round the world nearly 7 times!
  23. Oh yeah, just wasnt sure if id missed a pretty fundamental part of GCSE Science!
  24. I've always wondered if a litre of petrol would actually measure a litre....then again im convinced the "random search" system at work detects if you are a youth in a hoody and stops you accordingly. What is this magical button that allows extra fuel? I dont get it And also, What makes you think that petrol doesnt expand according to temperature? Im pretty sure the laws of physics apply to liquids in the same way they do for solids
