  1. Apologies if this is the wrong place, haven't posted for a while and can't remember (Mod's - feel free to put in right place if I've made a mistake) In a nutshell - had my X reg Lupo since September 2008, absolutely fantastic car and have had no problems with it the whole time I've had it. I bought a second car in February and the Loops getting neglected so I think its time to sell, the only problem is that I have no idea how much to ask for it. Obviously I've looked on Parkers but it's a Cat D (fully repaired) so its going to be worth less than what they quote. It's 2000 registered, 1.0, soft blue, bodywork is in great condition, low mileage for its age at just over 60k, Holden 15" alloys, CD player. It has tax and MOT until September. There isn't a FSH, and its a fully repaired Cat D. No modifications. How much can I expect to get for it without overpricing it or selling it short?
  2. I've got a cocker spaniel too, lovely dogs I really want a beagle but I've heard similar before, are they really mental?
  3. Mine outside work. My road isn't on there, I have no idea if there's any of me out and about driving...
  4. I don't care if its on bricks in my driveway, just need...to...own...one
  5. Haha I WISH... Its my ultimate life-long dream to own one, and possibly the only thing I'd kill for, but alas no Not yet anyway!
  6. I nagged my dentist for one for about 10 years. Eventually got one when I was 17 as they admitted it was a cosmetic (note: vanity) issue that was bothering me, as although my teeth were growing correctly, I had a gap in the middle of the front two that looked rubbish. So I got a fixed brace by asking my dentist to refer me to the orthodontist, obviously it was free then as I was under 18, so you'd probably have to pay now but I can't imagine it would be that much if it was done by an NHS dentist. It didnt hurt at all and didnt bother me while it was on, the only thing that hurt was having it tightened. As for the circumcision, I had no problems at the time I liked mine and actually want another one, because after all my whining I forgot to keep up with my retainer once it was off and my teeth are practically back in their original position, d'oh...
  7. My nose and one in each ear now seem really dull in comparison to everyone elses My nose is subtle though, so subtle no-one normally notices it
  8. Nicola's the best in my opinion, I love her new look. Nadine is over-rated.
  9. I completely agree with this statement. Shotton is pretty grim.
  10. Haha I wasn't expecting this to be particularly funny, but it really cracked me up
  11. We've had some! Well, about 12 miles away, we never actually get it *here* ...too near the coast or something. Pah!
  12. Its the diagrams that cracked me up, brilliant!
  13. Ten Second Rule from North Wales
  14. I work in the same kinda job now as you, and I totally agree. It's frightening how many of them there are around, most of ours are on a constant watch because they just can't stop themselves from re-offending, sickening.
  15. I was so shocked and flustered that I didn't think to ask at the time, but I remember her claiming that someone had stopped in front of her and that she nearly went in the back of them which is why she stopped, but I was a fair distance behind so couldn't say for definite whether or not this is the case. I knew she'd change her tune when she got home, because as we were exchanging details at the side of the road her parents drove past, and screeched to a halt before storming over. I was in the car by the time her dad arrived but I get the feeling that even though she was saying she was ok, once she spoke to other people she'd be encouraged to push for all she could get and elaborate what happened, because she made no mention of her being injured or her children being traumatised at the time, plus she was saying that she couldn't see any marks on her car but a few hours later, she wasn't sure of 'how much damage had been caused to hers'. Still, hopefully I'll hear tomorrow what the estimate is, he told me on Friday it'd be a substantial amount so hopefully it'll be repairable. All I can do is hope eh, sure I'll get something sorted.
  16. It was technically my fault yeah, I was driving at 50mph (lucky really as it was a 60mph stretch and I'd have usually been doing that) and a car in front stopped dead without warning, no indicator, nothing. I had quite a bit of stopping distance but even though I slammed on the brakes there was no way I could have stopped in time, so I went into the back Her car seemed to have got off lightly, although I suppose there could be internal damage. At the time she was really concerned for me, and apologetic, saying she didn't blame me, and would rather not claim, but when I rang her a few hours later she was really off-hand, saying she was in pain and her children were upset and worried, and she had no idea how much 'damage' I'd done and what it would cost to repair, so we're both doing it through insurance. Estimate seemed ok, haven't had the price yet but I'm looking at a new grill, side panel and lower bumper on top of what I thought, he didn't mention anything about it being scrapped so I'll keep my fingers crossed that the insurance company don't think differently.
  17. Had a bit of a smash last night on the way home from work, fair bit of damage on the front of the car, mainly round the drivers side. Looks like I'll need a new bumper, bonnet, light etc, taking it to the garage in a bit for an estimate. I'm just really hoping its not scrapped, its still driveable, but with it being 9 years old I dunno if the cost of repairs will be more than the cars worth now and I really don't want to lose it Plus they've whacked on an extra £200 on top of my voluntary excess due to being under 25 (which I am in a month, dammit!) so I'm looking at £450-£500. Still, aside from whiplash no-one was hurt, which is the main thing.
  18. Roadtrips, walking, sightseeing, pubs and eating
  19. I'm off to Glasgow for Bank Holiday weekend - any recommendations of places to go/or to not go? None of us have been before so we're a bit clueless, any help will be appreciated
  20. Yeah I agree, but what I mean is they've clamped down on everything now, I sold a job lot of DVDs recently, postage came to more than a fiver but I had to give it for free, meaning that as I only sold them for £1.70 I made a loss, plus I can think of many other occasions where its happened. I never rip off anyone with P&P but I see others on there still are and are being allowed to charge ridiculous sums, doesn't seem fair.
  21. Haha I got emailed that too, think it's spreading like wildfire. I've got a few colleagues on my facebook, but you have to be some kind of major spod if you post something like that knowing your boss is on your friends, for God's sake. Having said that I had a work/internet problem a few years ago but I've learnt my lesson, guess some people never will though.
  22. I hate the new ebay too, the layout keeps giving me problems and as already said, they're rubbish when it comes to help. And WTF is all this free P&P malarkey about, how can you be expected to make any kind of profit if you're posting a big parcel and can't charge postage?! Grr.
