I would get 30mm bolts. I run these on my std Bathurst's as the VW ones are too short for my liking. Guess you need ones with a 45° taper rather than the radius seat VW bolts? -

The best £ for £ mod I have done is solid adjustable top mounts, the increase in castor angle makes a huge difference!

I had these painted for my GTI, they were brand new, so no corrosion or dents. The paint finish isn’t perfect, but OK, I had them fitted for about four months, could probably do with a polish as there is a few swirls, no scratches though. They are genuine GTI aluminium trims, not steel ones. I will supply a set of new rivets to fit them with, or you could use screws. £25 + £5 Postage. But will listen to offers. Payment via Paypal gift.

Give the door handle a firm (Like very firm) whack!! Then take it apart again and adjust the cable if it opens. Otherwise take the door card off and unlock it that way.
