I've had problems with my aero wipers too (see http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=findpost&pid=741697) I just think they are crap. And very expensive.

Clairey are you getting a GTI?

To echo others, that is a knackered sensor. Exact same thing happened to me. Have fun trying to get old sensor out and the new one in. Its tight (and it was an OEM one). To reset ABS light you need to hook up to vag com.

Its got character. Something that Clios, Corsas etc don't. I like it. I do like the C30 though...

They are stored straight but I think that when removed they curl up too much and become a bit useless.

About six months ago I bought brand new Bosch Aero wipers for my GTI. They worked great. However, about a month ago I took the wiper arms off to take off the wiper motor to get access to behind the dash. The wipers were off the car for a couple of days. Upon refitting one of the blades juddered really badly. I checked I'd got the wiper arm back on properly but no change. Bought a new wiper and its fine. Moral of the story - if you are removing the aero wipers don't leave them off long because I think they lose their shape! Expensive lesson at twenty odd quid a set.

Whats it worth? Stolen recovered will come up on a HPI check when you sell it. If you don't have any sentimental attachment (and its properly insured) then refuse to have it back without some compensation for the stolen recovered tag.

A year?! Don't go to many multi-storey car parks / drive-thrus then?! Power failure is uncommon. Much more frequent are broken switches and regulators. I'd get a second opinion on the power problem before trying to track that down (unless the other side doesn't work in which case it'll be a fuse).

My first spotted! On an interesting note to all Worcester Lupo fans, I saw a silver GTI outside Halfords just before/after you saw me. Private plate S3 MEK. First time I've seen it. Saw our mystery VO51 on they way back home too. He's got white LEDs in his sidelights I think.
