  1. If you're gonna sell it then let me know as I'm looking to get one of these soon. PM me anyway. Cheers Robbie
  2. Hey mines doing the exact same thing! I did a Vag-Com scan with a lead I got off ebay and it found this fault with the central locking : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Address 35: Centr. Locks Controller: 1C0 962 258 AB Component: 16 Zentr.Verriegel. 0003 Coding: 00016 Shop #: WSC 01233 1 Fault Found: 01135 - Interior Monitoring Sensors 36-00 - Open Circuit End --------------------------------------- When I lock the doors it does what you said yours does and sometimes the passenger won't open at all. Also it doesn't register that I've even got into the car and so unless I put the key in the ignition to let the car know I'm there then it locks itself again and the alarm goes off. Anyone got any ideas before I go checking every central locking bit - what part that scan above is relating to? This is on a lupo gti. Sounds like the same fault on all of ours so maybe someone who knows a bit more about what the scans mean might be able to pinpoint the fault. Cheers!
  3. That's what I was thinking, ebay job for the sensor then?
  4. Hey, My ABS light came on at the weekend. The brakes still work, and they still work fine when you slam them on. This is on my Lupo Gti. However ... when you're driving slowly and lightly press them they make a banging noise and judder before they start working. They can feel a bit funny when you go faster as well. I've got it booked in tomorrow to get it fixed but I thought if anyone else has had this? The pads are fine, loads left on them but it's happened all of a sudden. ABS Sensor maybe? Also, is it just mine or are the breaks quite spongy on the Gti? They work, and they stop me quick but compared to say, my mums Audi (where the breaks are ridiculously sensitive and responsive) they just feel loose and you have to push quite hard. Saying that, I tried breaking with my left foot when I was testing the brakes out yesterday in the car park and they're mega responsive with my left but not with my right. I'm pushing the same with both feet, it's just with my left foot its like hitting a brick wall and I stop instantly while with my right it's spongy and not to great. The discs have been grooved, which I thought would make them better (the car came like it) but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any help or ideas would be great! Cheers
  5. Cheers for the info guys - big help! Rudaz: I'll get on and check all the switches etc - glad to here you got yours sorted! And I think the alarm thing is a sensor as my light doesn't come on when I open the door - so thanks for narrowing that down for me to Bikemad Ta much!
  6. So the problem is this: When I try and do my passenger side electric window up (on my lupo gti) when the ignition is off it goes up half way, then goes all the way back down again. But then it wont budge, so I have to turn the car back on to try again. If i try and click the button so it goes up on it's own it only goes half way and comes back down, I have to do it up in stages (i.e. up a bit up a bit up a bit more etc) until it's past the middle and then I can do it up in one go. Also when you try and do the above when driving, it doesn't always work so you have to hold the button on to get the window to come up instead of just leaving it to do it on its own. The driver side window is fine. Any ideas? I'm guessing it's a fault somewhere along the line but if someone has experienced this before then that'd be a great help! Also, the locking system does my head in ... When you open the doors, get in, but don't put the key in the ignition, it'll lock itself and then the alarm will go off because I'm sat in it and I trigger it. Is it meant to do this or is that a problem as well? Thanks!
  7. Fantastic! I was wondering how to do this Cheers
  8. That looks so good! Lovin the wheels.
  9. Cheers! They're meant to be "Anti-theft" Dice with these locking screws in ..... I've had two nicked never mind! Chavs will take anything!
  10. I've never thought of that, but I reckon so - it'd make the black bit look even more "mouth like"!
  11. After months of searching I finally got my Lupo Gti! I picked it up in March and have been meaning to post on here but have been enjoying it to much! Here's the details: 2002 Lupo Gti 75k on the clock Full history I think it's moon silver 16" Porche D90's Charcoal grey roof with matching wheels Black roof lining, dark grey/black interior with red piping and seatbelts. 6 speed 4-2-1 Manifold Induction kit Lowered on coilovers Smoothed air vents on front bumper Debadged Smoothed rear bumper Light dark tints on back windows. Rolling road test 132bhp with the two mods. -------------------------- Here's some recent pictures after a front and rear bumper respray ... someone drove into the front bumper scratching the paint off the arch, wing and bumper so I had the rear bumper done for cracking at the same time
  12. cheers for the replys everyone. Don't need one anymore now as I've had the front bumper resprayed and the bit of plastic underneath had been sprayed by the previous owners and the paint was all flicking off which is why I wanted a splitter. The bodywork bloke just stripped the paint off so it looks good now! Thanks for the help anyway.
  13. Hello all, I'm looking for a front splitter to go on my Lupo Gti, I searched on here and someone said that the following splitter for a Seat Leon Cupra R would fit an Arosa. Any ideas on whether it would fit the GTI ? Here's the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R-FRONT-BUMPER-SPLITTER-Genuine-Seat_W0QQitemZ370132159607QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item562d988c77&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Or if that won't fit, how about one that will? Cheers Robbie
  14. Standard Red Gti cruising through Torquay town centre on Saturday night. First one I've seen in my home town! If you're on here it'd be good to go for a drive some time, I've got a silver gti with charcoal roof and wheels. Might see you around some time. Cheers
