  1. Nice rims, will look mint but I have a pet hate with these multi fitment rims with all wheel bolt/nut attachment holes for various PCDs on display. IMHO there should be a centre cover to hide them, do these have one?? It's a shame if they don't cos for me it completely spoils the look of the wheel. 2. Hey up fella. Yeah, just on my way to work, noticed you by the roundabout. I've been looking out for you for some time but never seem to catch you. Your babe is looking nice clean and shiney mate, mine is an absolutely filthy pile of pooh at the moment. Lost a little bit of interest in her really after hitting that badger a few weeks ago and smashing all my hard work to pieces (i.e smoothed bumper). Cost me a fortune, just about got all the parts from Perrys now so it's just a case of smoothing and painting again.....bloody de jar voux!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Mark
  3. As already suggested, just go to Halfrauds and buy some £1 sticky/magnetic reflectors for the MOT then remove them after!!??

  5. Couldn't believe what I saw coming home from work tonight. Stopped on a windy back road and this badger came from nowhere and ran into my front NSF bumper at 65 MPH causing a right load of damage...... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Oh well, here I go again. I hit this monster on a windy back road to my house at 11:45 tonight, the road was slippery/wet and the biggest badger I've ever seen was right in the middle of it, on a normally fast right hand bend....oh ******!!! I touched the brakes and the car started sliding sideways so had no choice but to come off the brakes and sacrafice this poor ole badger. Damage seems to be smashed front bumper (Upper/Lower), smashed front fog and there seems to be very little left of my inner arch cover. I will take some piccies later today, if anyone has any of the afore mentioned parts for sale I'd definately be interested in them. 6. Oh Pooh!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> If I were a betting man Dave my money would be on a blown head gasket with those symptoms. Until you can confirm either way, dont drive it. (not that it's going very far anyhow with those symptoms) Mark
  7. Just keep us posted with a date, I'll come (work permitting, of course). style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> Mark
  8. Nice wheels mate lookin' good Ray. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  9. Lovely job, well done. It is something that I have been meaning to do for about 18 months now and never got around to it, but I think you have just motivated me to do it, so ta for that!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  10. I was also going to do this as I use my car quite a lot at night and I was going for the mercury tilt swith option style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  11. I'm running mine at about 30F and 28ish in the rears, but unfortunately my answer is the same as Silver's fella, so it's not a definitive answer I'm afraid. I've been running mine at them pressures for about 8 months with no problems, I just keep an eye on them to check for signs of over inflation (tread wearing in the middle portion of the tyres width) or under inflation (tread wearing on the outer edges of the tyres- obviously not to be confused with poor wheel alignment and scrubbing tyres) and adjust pressures accordingly. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  12. How about we have a club meet somewhere near your house and we all go pay the complete wan*=r a visit, I hate people like that!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" />
  13. Spotted, silver Lupo GTi (02 WXZ??) on road between Majeski Stadium and Rose Kiln lane roundabout at about 1 O'clock PM (SAT 28th) Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  14. For us the problem wasn't so much cheques into you own account, it was PayPal. Because PayPal is a monetery organisation they are duly obliged by law to inform the tax man if you are accepting a certain amount of money into your account. Something to be aware of that's all. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  15. About 2 years ago my misses was selling Harry Potter hats, gloves and scarfs sets to the yanks. We were getting them from Marks & Spencers for £10 and I swear to God were selling them for between £80-£120 a set. The only problem was that the tax man started asking loads of questions and PayPal wanted to know the name of her new business. We, like has already been mentioned cleared M&S of all it's stocks and were getting stores from all over the UK to send their stock to our local store for collection. Hell, I'd never been so well off, it easily paid for a 3week trip to the States. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  16. Hello and welcome to the club bud. Like has already been said it's possibly sommit trapped between disc and pad, but the only way to confirm for defo is to jack it up and av a little look. I had Eibach springs on the front and rear of my TDi which I found very good. There is no question in my mind that Eibach are one of the top names in suspension components and would highly recommend them, they only drop by about 30mm, but give a very comfortable ride. I'll agree with Tigz by saying, the rear needs to be slighty lower so I as a result of that I use HK springs with height adjustable spring platforms to enable me to lower the back slightly lower than the Eibachs did. At the end of the day it's all down your own prefferance and of course,.... Money. Good luck Mark border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
  17. Nope, mine doesn't have that long tool for the crank pulley, but I have the camshaft locking tool. Problem with my kit is like I said, it was bought to do diesels as opposed to petrol engines, but that said the kit still allows you to do quite a few petrols too. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  18. But you're all missing the point!!! Just cos you want VW tools doesn't mean you have to go to VW to get them and pay mega money for them, does it? What about other manufacturers like Franklin (TA444) or the one like I bought from GSF, Laser 3472. The kit I bought will do about 100 different VW/Audi cars. Obviously mine was bought for my TDi. What I'm trying to say is you're not compelled to buy just VW tools/parts. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  19. I've already told you they did a before and after! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" />
  20. Did you loctite the carrier bolts back in?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  21. Got my front EBC pads from http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ and got the rear EBC pads from http://www.eurocarparts.co.uk/ or alternatively EBC themselves, as Paul has already stated. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  22. Hi Paul. glad to see you're still battling on with it mate, keep us posted. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  23. Are you just buying a single crank locking tool??? If so how much, if you don't mind me asking. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  24. Just looked at my roster and the date should be okay, but I don't finish work till 6 o'clock ish. I'll say a yes for now, but don't want to be all alone again like the December one....Boo Hoo style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  25. Defo sounds like a misfire, could be a spark plug or lead breaking down. Sometimes it's worth having a look at night in the dark to see if you can see any arcing when the engine is running. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
