  1. Any queries, i suggest you actually look in to the data protection act more than just using the word as something to threaten us with. If you do not agree with the T&C's then please let one of the moderating team know and we will remove your account from the forum. Many Thanks John
  2. Not an exact copy and paste, but we have used there rules as a template for ours. They don't have classified software though.
  3. Defcon, obviously we will not remove comments that are relevant. As you see in the T&C's punishment is only relevant to innopropriate comments, we do have some sort of common sence. And as you know, there is a report function for this problem if you see one. We are going to leave the marketplace available for a few weeks whilst the classified section gets rolling. members can still view the section but there will be a posting restriction. Hopefully this will make the transition smooth

    Rough cost??

This has happened to a few other members too. Poor running caused by a blocked oil separator valve on the back of the engine. When you replace it, make sure you replace the pipe that comes out of the top of it too, they also get nicely gunned up. John
  5. Thats a photoshop of the wheels on the car surely?

  9. A remap is te last thing you do to tie your modifications together to see the gain. Make the engine breathe better first, then remap it. There's no point in mappIng it standard as soon as you modify the engine again in theory you need to maP it to see the full potential. JOhN
  10. 10-15 bar with no more than 3 bar between cylinders. 7 bar is considered the worn limit.
  11. Isnt its something to do with the can bus? GTi clocks have a second plug with the can interface in it, is your conversion running the same thing? Saying that, your car is probably different seing as youve had a conversion done.
  12. Hi john, seems like you have a sort of idea of what you want. What engine do you have to start with? 75 or 100bhp? as if you have the 75bhp id stop and first look for an engine with a stronger bottom end. The 75bhp has an ally block, and you can't take the crank out without distorting the block, meaning needing to line hone the crank to get it back in, and its not a good base to start with. If you have the 100bhp then its all down to how much boost you want to use, a K04 is way to big for the 1.4, tbh and a K03 is still quite large but it could work. Over 4psi and you will probably need to go a standalone ecu as i was led to believe the std ecu can't be mapped much past 4psi boost. The map sensor parameters on the ECU code aren't there and I'm told there isn't space to put the tables in either. But saying that i have herd of it being done on a 1.4 on the std ecu, so depends on who you know who has the right software and emulators to map the ecu. After all that fussing it might have been better to get a company like emerald to map the ecu after you have fitted it. Standalone ecu's - I have an emerald K6, its very good value for money. There are loads of types like omex, DTA etc etc that make very good units too, but are slightly more expensive. Emerald has a very good installation and instruction manual, and the technical support is very good. If you stay low boost then don't worry about a decompression plate or forged internals, they will be fine along as its well mapped with either EGT or knock control built in to the map to make it safe. if you keep the compression on boost to a safe level of 16:1 then you should be fine. iirc the 1.4 100bhp is 10.5:1 so up to 6 psi should be safe. Fueling, just get some GTI injectors and a fuel pressure regulator. That will easily cover your fuelling needs, I got 200bhp from standard GTi ones @4 bar running at 75% duty. Regarding your oil feed, don't use the oil pressure switch feed. You want to get a sandwich plate to fit under the oil filter housing with tap offs for an oil cooler and turbo tap offs. Mocal make two that i know of that fit the lupo, one with an oilstat and turbo feeds and one ally billet one without a stat. For the return you just need to drill a hole in to the sump and put your return line in to it. John
  13. Oil service light??? You mean oil pressure light??
  14. It's the crankshaft sensor, located on the back of the engine under a little black cover between where the engine meets the gearbox.
  15. Best and consistent power I had on the rollers was 206bhp at the wheels. 0-60 I'm not really sure on, in the 6's though
  16. Kers cooling? It was a big problem with the red bull over the last 2 years. Will be very interesting to see Kimi race this year, think he might come back well if the car is good.
  17. Like rich said you can do it with the gearbox still in. The nut has come off and as that selector tower goes up and down aswell as left and right there is not wonder you can't select a gear. I would take the selector arm off and inspect the shaft, there is a master spline on the selector shaft which needs to line up with the selector mechanism or you will have trouble engaging gear. You might be lucky and its not rounded off the teeth on the shaft. John
  18. Awesome were the only people I knew of who have done it and made good gains although I'm not sure of others. I did quite a bit of research in to this when I was looking at mapping my Gti after the charger conversion. The Gti has a soldered chip, so it needs to be de soldered and a base added to the Ecu pcb so it can be removed and refitted after mapping. Speak to andyp as his charged Gti has the standard Ecu fitted and has been mapped this way, I'm sure he will have the details of the guy he used, think he's In the Lincolnshire region iirc. It needed some sort of emulation software where you plug the computer in to the Ecu chip socket and it emulates the chip in the Ecu, you use the computer to map the car and them upload it to the chip when finished. John
  19. The first one is Jens lupo which is red The other one is orange, was at edition in 2008 iirc on the club stand
  20. Have the plastic teethed bits come off under the locking spring?
  21. Yeah stu wired them in to his head unit. I don't think there is anyway to get them to work tbh, I think it's something to do with canbus. I love my mk6 wheel, really suits the car.
  22. Amber can you please reply to your pm about UD, we are on a very right timescale!! John
  23. Ok So voting is now closed. The following people have made it to the stands: Indoor 1- HUW Pugh 2- Smilaa 3- grantmax 4- Amber_nunny 5- James TDi Outdoor 1- Dec 2- Tash.lupo 3- Joe Porter 4- Alyce 5- Sarah_diamond 6- TomJW You will be receiving the paperwork soon. John
  24. Kind of. It gives you a spike of fuel pressure when you make a throttle demand. Hence increasing the throttle response. All done through a vacuum feed from your manifold. They do apparently work, but theres no point on a standard engine, they are really suited to modified engines. John
  25. It was a magical engine powered by fairy dust Mine was only in the low 6's maybe just in the 5's depandant on the launch. And that was with 200bhp at the wheels, I find it hard o believe he's got that from his engine.
