Oh come on! Details Please! What is fitted, who did it, does it sound good? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Lol. Lucky I didn't go and kick up a stink at the dealer today! That would have been fun! I'll have to just wire a set in myself. The headunit should recognise them when they are wired in and have a front / rear fade function appear on the balance adjustments. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

It looks soooooo much better lowered. Love the H+R setup. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

Hmmm. Well it is the speakers in pic 15 that I am referring to. I have no speakers there. It seems that you have been given an upgraded sound system! Lucky you! Or perhaps I was simply sold something less that I should have been! Grrrrrr.
-
Some one on here lowered theirs straight off - 35mm springs all round for about £100. However, on our Fox's it makes it look like a standard height car! Maybe consider going a little lower. Standard kit makers should do them! Rob

How did you get the rears in? I wasn't offered it and when I asked they said they don't have the stuff to do it! Crikey you got lucky! Did you get the MP3 version of the headunit too? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Perhaps I got a little screwed! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Oh well.

What I really want to do is add rear speakers where the mounts are in the rear. Have you considered doing that? I don't think that will void a warranty - VW Ireland offer it for about 70 euros. My local dealer don't have any info about it but I am sure that the headunit will support the extra pair. However, I popped the panels out today and there don't appear to be any cables there! I thought VW would have wired them as it would be cheaper than having doing it later as a retro fit. Ho Hum

This set up is still baffling me. I need a wiring diagram - anyone know where they can be bought / downloaded peeps? Thank you! -
Say, That's a nice wheel style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> Custom sprayed to match?

Looool. Well glad to be first at something! Pics shortly!

Hey all, I am hoping I'm not the only Fox owner on here.... Has anyone tried getting to the rear speaker mounts? I am trying to see if I have cabling there for rears..... Anyone know whether the whole panel comes out and how? Rob

Thanks for that, Sounds like that is the lowest price - i'm always just after a bargin that's all style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Well anywho, I can't seem to find any filters for less than 42 squids! I'm not after the full induction kit (Although I lived the one I had on my MR2) because I don't want to cause any warranty problems, I know a panel filter should be less of an issue. Anyone got a link to the Jetex filter? It's for the 1.4 eng, seems to be an odd shape! Rob

I have been told that they will improve the throttle response but not overall performance. Also I have found that they do change the note of the engine a little. I have been wrong before and will be again! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I really like the 'lupo 2' nice looking little car! Sits low like the fox really should have done!
-
Cool - worth a go then! Thanks mate. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

As it says - they all seem to be around 45 squids! Anyone got one cheaper? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

I would suggest the even a BMW 7 Series or Toureg involved with a head on with a truck would result in death! Honestly, don't do the fox down because when an 18 wheeler hits it, it gets destroyed. Believe me i've seen plenty of this sort of thing in the flesh. Doesn't matter the size of the car, you're not going to come off well. If your sister wants a fox.... well that's up to her. My experience thus far has been, it's cheap (for a vw), it goes alright (for a 1.4) and its comfy (for a small car). Come on now. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Nice nice! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> How's the ride on the lowered springs? Rob

Removal and Specs of VW RCD200 Stereo?
robster replied to robster's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
Nice one lupogtiboy! I do really think I have been sold ones that don't fit. I push them in, only about 1/2cm then nothing happens, they just spring out. On top of that, the dealer service / parts people can't even tell me what I can connect to it! Gotta love the dealer network lol style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> -

That's the one! I got 4 keys but they just don't budge! Are they supposed to be pushed really hard or something silly? Thanks for the help Rob -
Hi guys, Anyone had any dealings with this headunit? Web searches reveal very little and the VW dealer even less. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> I want to oik it out and look at the back to see if I can plug one of those MP3 player converters in to it! From a 07 plate Fox btw. Many thanks for any help. Robster

I can confirm that on a private airfield the fox can easily achieve 100mph. It doesn't even complain! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

Hey Mate, How did you get on with the RCD200 in the end? I've got the non-MP3 one in my fox. I can't find specs anywhere and wondered if it was possible to add bits like more speakers without changing it out? Many Thanks! Robster

Why thank you. I think 2 hours is a little conservative - If I put a really big exhaust on it I could get 1 3/4 hours I reccon... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
