  1. I remember seeing this. "These wheels look great on this" yes but it's not OEM+ haha!
  2. Are they half the price of an ordinary hooker because they're half the size?
  3. Where do you find a dwarf hooker nowadays? Let alone two of them
  4. On the rapey scale, they're not quite jimmy saville, but fast approaching Jack the Ripper.
  5. Nonetheless, I rode on much more lethal budget tyres on my first car before so you won't die from them. It just makes sense to buy better, if you can afford it.
  6. He means people say they're good. Nankangs are cheap tyres which are decent for the money. But they're known as ditch finders because, well, that's what they are. They're a budget tyre. You've gotta remember tyres are the only thing between you and the ground, at 100+ miles per hour. You're talking about saving a tenner per tyre. Buy the bridgestones. You won't regret it. Trust me.
  7. ... I never said it was, I said it was a stupid question from the start
  8. Well the original idea was "get that off, paint it / flock it / wrap it / something it black, so it doesn't stand out as much". Then it dawned on me it's not a case of just popping off, and that's far too much effort
  9. I feared that might be the answer... Now the question doesn't seem as stupid haha!
  10. ...Trying my hardest not to ask the most stupid question in the world but... Ugh, How does the rear view mirror mount detach from the windscreen? Is it just stuck on? And I assume I can just pull the actual mirror off its ball joint thingy to separate them? Sorry
  11. They might not be Potenza's actually.. 165/50's are a bit of an awkward size to buy not a huge amount of people make them. Nankangs? This is an awesome guessing game!
  12. 165/50/r15 Bridgestone Potenza's i think mate Correct me if I'm wrong?
  13. I'm certainly thinking manual is the logical way too go. I like the idea of physical switches and gauges and what not. Has anyone seen that iLevel accuair are offering? All controlled from an iPhone / iPad / iPod. Cool, but can't help but think technology moves on too fast for it to be long term... It's still a lot of money though. With regards to the Lupo on air - is everything a straight swap to a gti? As I understand it, gti's have the same struts, boot space etc correct? And do you need any chassis notching or anything, or does the Lupo go nice and low without much work.
  14. Right... Can someone explain to me the difference between electronic and manual paddle valves ? Iv been told to go for electronic and naturally that'd seem the better option. But what's the real difference? Who knows, maybe in another 6 months to a year ill be asking for a bit of help from some of you with regards to fitting it!
  15. 280 miles from my house... Can't say you're likely to see me very often..!
  16. Thank you - not bad but it needs a few bits. Got some big plans for it but I don't wanna talk about them too much til they're done. Otherwise ill be another car owner who says "I'm going to get this done" but never does haha! http://s1290.photobucket.com/albums/b533/Volkswagen-Dan/?action=view¤t=B32E2CBE-A864-4E02-807B-94D2553F7DC9-29661-00000F636A4A608E_zps4edef420.jpg&evt=user_media_share I've tried to upload 2 photos on my phone but they seem to have uploaded a bit blurry to me. Anyway, take a look if you can. That's my old polo it had a bit of a problem taking rear passengers due to poke, and it got smashed up by the new owner a week after purchasing but it loved it to pieces, what a car! Ah, I'm from Hampshire, been to Barry before! There's a few near me to be honest!
  17. How hard is it to fit air? How hard is it to run all the lines and install the tank and compressors and what not. Is it worth just paying the extra to get it fitted?
  18. Probably a reasonably high offset. I'm sure a google would tell you! 165/50's are nice tyres for a 7J too. I have you on Instagram. Awesome little car. Looks like you've got an awesome boyfriend and family too! Your boyfriend's g40.. I used to own a mk3 1.3 spi lowered on banded steels. Ill always have a soft spot for them! Whereabouts are you from, out of interest?
  19. lovely person! If it goes right, please let me know. I'd definitely be interested in getting quite a bit done! Whereabouts are you from? Out of interest?
  20. I want some flocked bits looks good. Do you have remote central locking?! I have a double din and its one of the best upgrades you can get in my opinion.
  21. They're banded mk2 golf (I think) smoothies. Crazily cheap to buy compared to others. I've got some photos of that Lupo somewhere, ill dig them out
  22. Seeing as HavAir have now offered finance, I can see a lot more people getting it done. I have a friend with a 6n2 who spent 1950 on air from rayvern. Mind you, if you want independent setups for extra win, you'll be looking at nearer 3k than 2.
  23. Just weld on your current subframes to whatever seats take your fancy!
