  1. Are they sure he's not just in a deep sleep?
  2. I prefer this one: http://www.balconyshirts.co.uk/you-fear-ia...shirt-177-p.asp Bizarre! (those who know me will get it)
  3. Ghosthunting with Club Lupo! Deej can fill the Yvette Fielding role!
  4. That doesn't really apply since the Tory government sold off the state owned oil company for a comparable pittance. Fair enough, fuel costs & taxes have soared in the last 10 years of Labour, but if the Tories hadnt punted off BP for a quick buck, then some of the huge profits BP are seeing could have been going back into the country. The government have little choice but to claw comparitive money back in tax (from both the consumer AND the oil companies). It's frustrating when public transport is unreliable, overcrowded, filthy & expensive. There isn't much of an alternative option. Basically "It's a huge crap sandwich & we all have to take a bite" Interestingly, MP's get to vote this week on their own level of pay rise. Funny that. I think that vote should be put to the people working in the public sector, seeing as MP's have ****ed them over on repeated occasions. Zippy for President.
  5. A couple of weeks ago I was 111.9p/litre at the garage near my work. That'll have jumped up a few pennies by now. Cest la vie.
  6. Let you past? You were going into Dyce & I was going up to Inverurie Besides, I think you'll recall that I subsequently passed you before the roundabout I have Xenons on all the time, as every day I have people on the dual carriegeway swing out in front of me when they're doing 50 & I'm doing '70'. Better safe than sorry, especially when so many people drive in a slow-mo blind panic at the 1st sign of rain or frost. "It's a bit wet today, better drive at 10mph" The Susushi looks good though!

    Football.

But if the fans got properly behind their team, I believe they would have gone through to the finals.

He was part of the management team you're all slagging off, and also got fired today! The problem is not the manager. You went through the same with Sven, Keegan etc - all proven to be good managers. The problem is the media portrayal of victory is everything. The fans pick up on this nonsense & get on the teams backs at the slightest opportunity. For example - Saturday.. Scotland go 1-0 down against Italy after 1 min. Crowd quietens for 20 seconds then erupts & gets back behind the team. Team gives it everything they have - and subsequently their efforts get them back in the game, buoyed by the crowd. We lost the game late on, but we're still proud of our team's efforts. England last night, go 1-0 down. Crowd quietens, then goes for their own teams blood. England go 2-0 down. Only with the dubious penalty did te crowd stop booing. Until the fans stop listening to idiots like Motson, laurenson, Wriiiighty, & stop reading the tabloids, then England will always be jittery & nervous. The English players are exceptionally talented, but fail because they are so terrified at the nationwide retribution they will face if they make a solitary mistake - this inevitably leads to mistakes being made. 9. Pffft, its political - the prices are high because of concerns over future supplies between oil rich countries like Saudi, Iran, Venezuela & the hungry ones lie the US, China, Russia (although the latter 2 may ave the capbility to extract their massive reserves more efficiently very soon). There is fvck all point in holding fuel price protests in the UK. There are too few of us, using too little fuel for the oil companies to give a ****. Prices will be high unless something happens on a global political scale, so get used t it. On an interesting note, in Venezuela were the state recently took forced control over the oil companies, they sell petrol for $0.13 / gallon. Obviously that's subsidised (they deny this), but Ecuador is $0.40 / gallon. Enough to make you jealous? Anyway, it's a bad time to buy petrol, but it's a good time to go to New York for a shopping trip!
  10. Scary coincidence that the 1st time I look on CL in months & you're instantly old! Happy Birthday mate, you old c**t!

    Houses

To be brutally honest, anyone sweating on small interest rate changes & worrying if they can afford the repayments has borrowed too much money. If you take on the responsibility of borrowing so much money for a long period you have to be prepared for the possibility of high rates. And don't all round on me - if you can't afford to buy, don't. These people are the same ones who tell me it's boom time & it'll never end. How many people are facing up to owing £200k on a property that might be worth £120k in 5 years time?

I agree. And it's worse when it's shitty buildings with only a 50 year life expectancy. By the time people have paid off these over inflated costs it'll be time to rebuild them. Oh, anyone want to buy my flat? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

  17. I'll be heading there on Friday morning. Anyone else going? I'll be the one in a red kagool with ZIPPY on the back of it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Not had a kagool for 20 years style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Anyway, poor weather aside, I'm looking forward to it, some good ideas this year along with the oldies - lockers, showers, cup recycling (with refunds), duracell tent giving you free replacement new batteries for your old ones, casino, EA sports hub, silent disco (funniest thing ever!). Musically there's not too much I'm dying to see, but there's always bands you've never seen before that become new favourites style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> NOTE: Crusoe, none of your upper class rubbish here please - if it aint music/festival/beer/fun related then sling it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />
  18. Police have named the driver of the failed terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport He has been named as Singed Ma-jeep. They also believe that he was celebrating the Muslim Festival of RAM-A-VAN. Shockingly bad, but still made me chuckle.
