i was going to buy a lupo but could not get one for reasonable money so i bought something else, but while i was looking i saw some at aution go for silly money (even for ropey cars) i dont know if its still on autotrader but i saw an 03 car go for 8k (now advertised at 9k) including fees and i thought half of the bodypanels needed some work and a coulpe of planes of glass needed work it may be worth trying to sell your car at aution at the moment as people seem to be struggling to sell them privately hope this is of some use.

your car looks great apart from the wheels imo i would have loved to buy it and put standard wheels on it seems very difficult to sell a red lupo second hand so i would go for silver, volkswagon still seem to be suffering from fading red syndrome.

i found the loop abit boring, but i was used to a modified mk2 golf but the car has some very good atributes feel free to ignore my responce as i have bought a renault

only six? ive just got a clio cup, god only knows how many pieces will still be attached in two years time i might fancy a honda type r next but whatever it is, it will be normally aspirated

raw is a possitive in my book but the 3 i have driven in the last week have all been very comfatable but the loop is a lot better looking, has less silly toys, better interior, cheaper to insure as you said, very tough choice but i would want to modify the loop, ill keep the clio standard plus the clio has a bigger boot the thing thats clinched it is, the clio reminds me more of my old golf also the rareness of the loop puts me off a little, because there will probably be spares avalability problems in the future

im trying to decide beteen a 172 cup and the loop, the big difference seems to be insurance but on the fuel economy the clio sounds better from what people have said on each forum also cam belt needs to be done every 40,000 or 4 years on the loop

id go for the clio but insurance on the trophy seems to be ridiculous half as much again compared to standard 182 cup

is there no kit available for the gti or sport, ive seen a couple on here but they have had to put in serious time or money it would be great if webcom did a kit as they usually charge 2k or have i missed something obvious

there must be something in the water up there, my dad recently had an exhaust made by a company in macclesfield for his cobra and it was very good quality have you just had the new exhaust from the manifold back? do they just use the origanal mounting points or do they attach it to the body? looking forward to some pics, is it rude to ask what it cost?

i just sold a very tidy mk2 16v for £1500 but i would not advise someone to buy one as a cheap car to run plus they have a head gasket issue as well. if you want a cheap car dont buy a performance car, the two are mutally exclusive.

i have discounted the dealers because of the silly high premium i also will only consider 6 speeders and no red ones i think the 51s are to old and compared to newer ones look expensive im not interested in modified ones unless they are to the highest standard and to my taste (no budget parts) the main problem is i have missed out on quite a few realistically priced ones recently (because i had not got my loan ready) so im not prepared to pay more now for an lower spec car if i decide to sell it in the next year (hopefully not) i would want it to sell in a week or two so would price it to sell as i cant be bothered with it hagging around for ages, if i pay over the odds now i will lose out badly that leaves 1 but it hasnt got aircon and he is asking the same price as a car that has just sold for the same price which was newer, a better colour and lower millage so unfortunately it looks to expensive, if it had aircon it would have been a different story. it doesnt help that you have to travel a very long way to look at cars and now that im considering the clio, all loops look expensive.

ive given in, ill see if i can get a test drive in the 182 today and see which one is best for me, its still a pity its french.

no he should'nt, to many motorists are armed pretty typical of 4x4 drivers, ive been threatened by a discovery driver

top choice, personally i like military watches especially cronographs but will never be able to justify an IWC car whores and watch perverts go together like strawberrys and cream dont they:D

find one and try it, it would be my top choice for economical motoring, i just cant convice myself to have it as my only car most of the ones on autotrader have been there a long while so would be worth haggling hard

will probably be a little slower than the corsa style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> but they are lovely cars, probably the best car in the lupo range, brakes and suspension could be better. it depends what you want from a car

i have only driven the loop which i found a little disapointing but i prefer it in most ways to the clio the reason the loop is at the top of the list is because im after an easy life, witch also needs to be reasonably fun to drive and which i would like to keep for a while (about five years 100,000 miles) im expecting the clio to be nearly as good to drive as an integra type r the big concern about the clio is, will it be unreliable? expensive to maintain once out of warranty and will it fall apart and rust very quickly and is a 182 better than a 172?

im strugling to find a lupo gti so am now considering a clio 172/182 as im fed up of my dads toledo i have never wanted a french car, im wondering if this is irrational as they make great drivers hot hatches i know the good and bad points of the loop but i know very little about the clio any opinions please

its probably been discussed but dont the kawasaki engines need a new sump for BEC applications?
