  1. I think you will be fine running the wheels with 195-40-16's, they are et38, they are close to rota slipstreams which i had in 15" with 195 45 15 tyres, i had it lowered 40mm but would have gone alot lower. You are right about the rolling radius being around about the same as the 14's on big baloon tyres.
  2. Even if it does mean that its doubtful it wil fit your gti as its a 1.6 16v, and probably a whole different engine design to the 6n 1.6 8v. Just get the raceland or try and source one second hand where the bending/wrapping etc. has already been done?
  3. Was funny seeing the vagisil and tena lady ad's on during that 'the perfect vagina' on Ch4 the other night!
  4. You will probably need 195/40/16 tyres if you went for 16's, the rolling radius will probably be around the same as standard 14's with standard baloon tyres I would of thought, so you shouldnt have any issues size wize anyway. As for the offset and other factors like PCD and centre bore, I'm not so sure, but if you post more details of the wheels up then maybe someone can help out. EDIT: Ok I was bored so had a look myself, they should fit fine, they may supply you will spigot rings to fit the 57.1 bore, the et is as follows TORQUE 3000 Black ET 35 WTQB70635400 TORQUE 3000 Black ET 40 WTQB70640400 So they should fit fine in my opinion, I had rota slipstreams 15x7 et40 lowered 40mm on a arosa sport and they were fine, so if you go for the 40 profile tyres on the 16's then you will be Ok, I reckon so anyway.

  14. If I was getting that bumper I'd sack the fogs off, don't think they'd go well with the look of the bumper.
  15. Yeah, when I was first looking at buying my old arosa it was from an independent dealer (sanderson motorhouse), i HPI'd it and it came out as outstanding finance, but everything was fine with it and there was nothing outstanding on it.
  16. Lol, what did you imagine? Edit: I hope I don't usually look as much of an idiot as I do in that pic, but I'm really not photogenic at all!

    HELPPPPPPPPP!

Looks about 40-60mm down in that pic. Alloys are ATS classics, 6x13 I think. Not sure which places would fit you some stretched tyres in Hull, just drive around, savoy or endyke lane might do it... if they wont then theres a VAG specialist near trenton renault in anlaby that should be able to help.
