  1. Any reccommendation on which one is better mate? Got hid's and now need to get rid of them =[
  2. They're konis: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Performance/Suspension/Lowering_Springs/Koni_Lowered_Sport_Spring_Kit/337/0/75337/45209 Your tyre size wont be a problem mate. The only difference between his and yours is the profile and theres quite a lot of arch gap after the 40mm drop so no need to worry
  3. Just standard shocks mate. I'll take a picture tonight when i get home
  4. Also I know what you mean with coilies cos unless you spend loads of money on an expensive set then the ride qualitys gonna be crappy. Konis were £115
  5. This is mines dropped 40mm on springs with the rieger kit...not got a picture with the skirts on but i'll stick one up laters if you want =]
  6. Yeah its just on a rocker switch...that's the annoying light in front of the gear stick lol when me and my dad stuck them in we didn't realise there was a light on the switch so didn't think to hide it haha. Wouldn't of thought wiring it into the sidelights/interior light would too hard though...
  7. Stuck in some blue lights and was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were? Cheers guys =]
  8. The transponder comes out the key quite easily...just need a flat headed screw driver to wedge it out. Check around for prices mate cos i took mine to timpsons in a tesco store and he said he would do it for free cos it didnt need any coding =]
  9. I've had mines on for at least a year now and nobody's flashed their lights at me...just don't go for crazy bright ones...
  10. cheers mate use this one if you dont have central locking http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=53&products_id=399
  11. Dunno if it'll be hard mate. Doesn't look too bad from the comment above tho Chris, how are the keys you've got? Did the pins get knackered after a Whiley?
  12. Its not bad to fit but i don't have electric windows or an alarm so i didnt have to muck aroung trying to wire that stuff in. I just wired it to my hazard lights so that they flash when i lock/unlock the car. The chip's easy to swap...just have to take the original key apart, take the chip out and secure it in the new key with some bluetac or glue. The actual keys are a bit crappy on them though cos the pin that holds them in place starts to loosen a bit and the key wobbles about
  13. I used this one: http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=671 It's not too hard to fit and it comes with car specific instructions
  14. your best shout is to go for this: http://www.rclick.co.uk/index.php?cPath=53 Cos the one your looking at only gives you REMOTE central locking if you already have central locking installed. You need a kit that has the two actuators included to give you central locking in the first place. Also rclick are pretty good...ordered the stuff and they came the next day
  15. I've got the same kit and just had it sprayed for £250 Fitting it isnt bad...the rear and front bumper just have a few bolts and clips that need undoing and the kit pretty much goes on the same way the old bumpers came off. Side skirts however need a bit more altering as they were 4mm too long so I had to bend them a bit to get them to sit right. Don't know if you'll have the same problem tho!! If you need any help with the fitting just ask and i'll try help The wheels above come with the se methinks By smoothed he means that the gap between the reiger bumper and the rest of the car has been filled which you would need to do yourself or get someone to do for you... Also you'll need to get a new tail pipe so that it comes out the centre cos the reiger bumper has a gap in the middle for the exhaust
  16. Use a heat gun (or hairdryer) and heat the badges up a bit, then get a credit card and slide it behind the badges and slowly work them off. There'll be some gunk behing them so fire on some bug and tar remover to get rid of it. P.s use an old credit card cos it'll probs get nackered with the heat =]
  17. is there a way to recalibrate the speedo? Just cos i want to stick lower profile tires on but it'll probsably knock the speedo out :/ Cheers dudes
  18. I think for the pedal box to be repaired the car has to be either under 8 years old or have done under 1,000,000 miles. In saying that though VW said they wouldn't do mine because apparently my model wasn't one of the cars affected by the dodgy pedal box problem even though it was under 8 years old I think it's just your luck as to whether they'll do it for you. Give them a call and see what happens Also, there's a how to thread on this if you fancy doing it yourself 8) 'Tis a bitch of a job tho...
  19. Nah man not for quite a while...like it too much The seats took quite a lot of effort. Had to make brackets for the bottom part (used the brackets from the original seats) and the back part bolted in but needed more brackets to hold it in place lol. Got the material from rejects in kirkcaldy.
