  1. Car's looking nice!
  2. £330 for my sport in november, including the bearing, sleeve and labour. That was from a VW garage on a farm in southampton.
  3. Yeah good idea. Nothing bad will happen immediatly anyway, not like theyll come flying off the car. Update the thread when youve had some advice from the MOT station, would be interesting to hear their take! Paul.
  4. My adjusters have been out for a while and ive never had a problem. once the weight of the car is on them they wont go anywhere. i'm not even using zip-ties as its hard to get the springs central that way. Your call really bud!
  5. ahh right, i just saw a girl with a massive smile on her face driving a bubblegum coloured arosa on stilts the other day, thought it may have been you. whoever she is, she needs coilovers!

Yeah it was at the front. tints are from a company called lamin-x. get them from the US site though as they come pre-cut
  7. It'll more than likely go up! your age will depend on how much. Have you just bought this car? is it bluey white by any chance?

  11. Where do you live mate? it wasn't me but i live very close to there.
  12. dude just plastic weld so spats onto your arches, or gaffa tape them on.job done. even better, house the whole wheel under a makeshift citroen-style cover...
  13. haha i dont think there's a man on earth who didnt get the rocky box set for xmas
  14. yeah its been serviced, had a new clutch, all engine mounts are tight etc. no idea what it is really but i'm pretty used to it now anyway
  15. poooooooooke!! haha you may have slight issues with calipers but i should think theyll fit! just expect a storm of **** your way from the traffic police unless you roll/flare your arches I have 9x14 et35 Rh Cups on the back and have had to space them to keep them off the calipers and they stick out a bit too, yours will have an inch and a half ontop of that!! If in doubt, "man up"
  16. no. they wont clear the calipers on the front. Probably not on the back either
  17. Just compared my car to my mates 59 plate fiesta and his is covered in the exact same crap as mine, so it must be the road! Also a good way to check, as he pointed out, is rub your finger inside the exhaust tip, if its covered in oil, bad news, if you just get soot, good news! Hope that helps people. Im off for a celebratory beer
  18. Thanks for the replies people! I washed my car again yesterday and yet again, covered in specks already. I'm hoping its just crap off the roads as theyve all been gritted and i run wide wheels which flick more dirt up. Really can't be bothered with refurbing the engine! As the guy above said, p/xing it is sounding better and better!
  19. I've read about black specks on the rear bumper meaning that the cars burning oil so thought i'd ask for a bit more info. I've got a 1.4 sport with 73k on the clock. It never skips a beat, runs nice and smooth, pulls well etc but i've noticed the dreaded black specs. How big are they normally cause i've got millions of the things. I washed the car today at 2pm, drove about 40 miles and once i'd stopped, the whole of the rear of the car was filthy, as in all up the boot, the window, slightly round the sides, and either side of the exhaust, not just above it. This seems a bit extreme as i've never really noticed it before and the rest of the car is still 100% clean :S Only thing is, i have some oil running down the block, which i assume is the rocker gasket, could this be related? is it posible that it isnt the rocker gasket? Sorry for the essay, pretty worried!! Paul.
  20. hey matey, my girlfriends at southampton uni so i'm down there most weekends! hopefully see you at a SoVag meet!
