hugo
getting back to the vibration on an SDi .... if all is correct in the injection department and the engine performs as it should then most likely to be the bottom engine / gearbox rubber mount. Now this takes some punishment as it gets water salt grit and in some instances bottoms out on road surface or speed bumps..Through time on the outside diameter of the two rubber discs they grow and get married to the inner diameter of the steel mount bolted to the car body. Its metals natural way of reverting back to iron ore once more ( its called rust).. Sometimes the metal can so rotten a replacement is necessary.. If the mount is in fair condition it can be dismantled and you will see what i mean when removing the rubber its married to the steel.. once cleaned and even with a new mount the surfaces can be given a liberal coating with rubber grease to leave you with a silky smooth mount that should absorb any vibration as its intended....
