Lyndon901
Hi all, Last night I came out the cinema and my windows on both sides were down ? I didn't think much of it thought I might have left them down...In work today it was hammering down and I thought I'd check and again they were down?!! Can anyone tell me why this is happening? And is there a way I can stop it for the time being until weekend? Thanks
matt123roll
Take the fuses out for the electric window switches, as for the issue could be the switches, regulator or a host of other things. Lupo electric windows are known for problems!
Botanic
I had the same problem with one of my widows.Sometimes the passenger side window would go down all of a sudden.I also had a problem controlling the passenger side window from the drivers side every now and then.I replaced the switch on the drivers side and the problem disappeared. My guess is that it is the switch on the drivers side on your car, since it controls both windows. Bigplum
On my lupo , there were a couple of faults,The door lock is operated by a paddle ( Part of the key lock in the handle)They break up with corrosion and stress due to the hard spring and rubbish metal.Parts kits available on eBay for a few quid.On mine the paddle did not return perfectly to the neutral position , enough to lock door but sometimes during locking and unlocking ,the paddle would stick , this would trigger the windows to drop . ( there are two micro switches inside the door catch mechanism to do this)The second fault was the door catch itself , the solder joints fail giving odd signals to the locks and windows.Easy repair if you can solder, bit of a ball ache to take it out , hardest bit being the setting of the door handle pull cable , too tight and the fecking door will not open, so mark the position with tippex or a soft pencil Edited December 6, 2013 by Bigplum
Skezza
Take the fuse out, for the moment. Electric Windows are a bugger. Edited November 16, 2013 by Skezza
