Me and a friend are going to colour code out bumpers front and rear silver, we have all the correct paint and primer,

a few questions i needed answering are -

- how long roughly should it take to complete?

- do i need to remove the bumpers or just tape and spray?

- how do i remove the bumpers?

Thankyou

To do it properly you're meant to be sand the texture back to a smooth finish and get the bumpers off the car and do it indoors otherwise you'll get contaminants in the paint and it will look gash. You will also need to clear coat the bumpers so there durable and shiny, it's not the easiest task to attempt if your not competent with painting and I personally wouldn't advise doing it without a gun and compressor and experience but hey ho have a go!

Not really the best thing as a first project. Can you not practice on a spare fuel flap or something?

Prepare, prepare, prepare, then prepare some more.

Build up the paint using thin coats, allowing to "go off" properly, before sanding and cleaning ready for before the next coat.
