JoeA
Take the purple bit off, leave the black threaded part in
Fob163
remove adjusters etc, just leave spring seated in the rear.
JoeA
You may aswell leave the black threaded part in on the KWs. Youll gain about 2.5 mm taking it out.
TArosa
to gt thespring tosit flush withought the adjuster ring you may hve to grind few mm of the end of the coil to ge it to sit overthe shoulder on the cup
Amber_Nunny
I have these coilovers and I've got to admit the back doesn't go low enough and there's not much you can do which is why I'm changing to the short fk rear springs. audiocandy
Thanks for the options guys I'm used to complete coil damper setup so when I come across this rear setup humming just hope the removing of the purple adjuster doesn't effect the ride or safety any idea which FK spring part number etc.. which is shorter option? Amber_Nunny
I don't have the adjusters in, just the spring and mines fine. Been running it for about a year now like that.I'm not sure what the part no. is for the FKs but I'm sure someone else on here does
audiocandy
I may tackle removing the purple adjuster some time this week ,what is the easyest way to remove it? which bolts do I need to undo as unfortunatly I did not fit the coilovers
JoeA
to remove the adjuster you need to jack the car up, let the rear beam swing down from its own weight, take the springs out (should be easy) then wind off the purple rings, shouldnt need tools other than a jack and maybe your c spanner. Thooooom
Id say take the bolt out the bottom of the damper, that way the beam can drop properly.
