LUPOES
Hi all,Am visiting friends in Bristol who have shown me that their little workhorse Lupo 1.0E doesn't have a reverse gear.It engages with no problem but there's no bite and the car rolls forward a bit (as if first has been engaged) although that could be due to a slight decline.Does anyone have any suggestions, before they take the car in?Thanks! JoeA
IF you're mechanically minded, try adjusting the linkage.
LUPOES
OK ta, no I'm not very mechanically minded. Thanks for the response though. I'll get them to take it to a local specialist.
Sport-2-GTI
How do you go about adjusting the linkage? My car would select reverse no problem and go backward.. but after moving it yesterday.. it slides onto reverse but goes forward? Thanks
mk2
The little plastic dufus thingy has probably popped off. So when you think you're selecting R, it's actually 1st. The left-right stick motion control is defective by the sounds of things. Part number 6N0711575A. Could be something else though, like something loose? Sport-2-GTI
Yeah it goes into first. Slides into every gear fine just like it should but just reverse is not there.. how do I go about checking it? Best to look under the car or take inlet manifold off and see that way?? Thank you
