I had reverse? I was moving it back and forth and then it just went? Do you think it could be goosed? I'll keep trying Nate

I've tried adjusting the 13mm bolt and it seems to go into the "reverse" position alot easier now but it still goes forward I cant seem to find reverse I'm not very good at pulling and pushing the gear linkage into place

I am yes. I recently found out i dont actually need to change the incar loom. I am devostated my old loom has now gone and its impossible to find someone breaking a lupo with electric wing mirrors and sunroof :'(

Amazing ill get on that and make sure it goes into reverse

Is anyone breaking a lupo that has a sunroof? Im in need of the full in car loom? All plugs in tact including heater control, door plugs, rear lights ect. If you have one for sale please message me im in desprate need Thank you all Kurtis

Would it be easier to do with the gear linkage disconnected?

How do I know where reverse in? And once it's in reverse and i move it backwards how do i then get it to select reverse again? From inside the car? I dont mind getting dirty it's a hobby of mine hahah I'll do my best yeah thank you.. but where is reverse located on the box? What way do I push/pull? Thank you

There is nothing loose on the inside of the car side mate.. under the boot everything is tight and as it should be mate

My clutch is cable not hydraulic buddy. Could this still be the case? Is there any kind of adjustment screws/bolts on the gearbox side of things if the cable adjustment doesnt work? I cant find any sort of hole to line the gearknob up in the neutral position? Is it just all a case of trial and error when doing the cable adjustments? And doing it by eye? Thanks again mate

If this fails.. is the anything on the gearbox itself that I could adjust? I've has a look under the car and there is abit of gearbox fluid on the bottom of the gear box? Thank you for your help:)

I've had a look and it's a completely different gear box but I'm guessing it's the same idea? Loosen up the cables.. make sure both gear box and gear stick are in neutral then tighten back up?? Like I said all other gears work perfectly fine.. it's just reverse is a forward gear now 🤣🤣 it feels like it goes into reverse so well but it's just first Haha I'll try it out and get back to you thank you

Hello people I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I moved my car yesterday after a while of her not moving with me doing alot of work on her. It went into reverse and I moved it back. Then into first and rolled forward and back into reverse just fine. I then came to go into reverse a third time and the car rolled forward like I selected first gear? So i tried again and again and it kept going forward but it feels like it selects reverse? I drove it to my new home and every gear worked from from first through to Fifth. When I got to my new place I put it in reverse and still goes forward. I put her in my garage and left her there for the night. Today is a new day and I'm wondering what do I do to help select reverse again? What need adjusting? I should mention a little bit of gear box fluid did drip out after the third time trying to find reverse when it wouldn't go in? Any help would be overly appreciated. The car is a 51 plate VW lupo sport with a 51 plate Polo 6n2 GTI engine and box

Yeah it goes into first. Slides into every gear fine just like it should but just reverse is not there.. how do I go about checking it? Best to look under the car or take inlet manifold off and see that way?? Thank you

How do you go about adjusting the linkage? My car would select reverse no problem and go backward.. but after moving it yesterday.. it slides onto reverse but goes forward? Thanks

Hello everyone. My name is Kurtis and i am new to this forum although i have owned 5 lupos over the past few years. Im wondering if anyone can help me with my lights? I have recently done an engine conversion on my 2001 Lupo Sport. the engine is all up and running with no faults and the inside is being built back up. unfortunally i was unawear that i could use my origonal inside car loom with the conversion so i now have a polo GTI in car loom. i am not that bothered about the doors being wired in just yet but i need all lights to be working. i have had a look online and i can not see any rear light wiring diagrams for either cars. im wondering if anyone has the knowledge of the rear light wire colours and their job so i can cut and splice the light connectors to make them work so they are road leagal. this is only a temparary fix until i can find another Sport in car loom. Does anyone have one for sale? Must have electric windows.. wing mirrirs and sunroof in the car loom in order to make everything work. any help, advice, knowledge sharing would be very greatful!
