arronarronarron
Has anyone had any experience with 13x7 wheels with an offset approx. POS15? Or anything similar. Might be a long shot but I'm just researching fitment.
Ringrow21
I run 13x7 and 13x8 on the rear and it scrubs like hell. Rolled arches and a bit of camber is needed. And I am fairly low. The offset on the rear is et1, so it pokes a tad. Hope I helped a little
AJ Joyce
I bought some bandeds 13x7 n 13x8. Let's say I had them on for 5min. (Can't get to my house without goin over a speed bump) ripd the top right off the 1st bump. God I liked them wheels too dont know what the ofset was but they poked about an inch n half on the back haa

arronarronarron
Ringrow, is the offset on front (13x7) ET1 too? The ones I'm looking at are ET15 so these would sit further in the arch than yours, am I right? Also how low do you think you are? I'm only planning a modest 30mm drop
arronarronarron
AJ Joyce, what was the offset on those? Shame about that
Ringrow21
My fronts are an ET20 and they poke a little but not much. Its hard to say how low i am. The rear i have taken the adjusters out, and the front is about 2 inches of the floor. And between the tyre and arch i can just about fit a finger in between. Little Green Giant
13's look great if done right!!!
arronarronarron
So, it might be hard to say but do you think I'll be ok running 13x7 ET15 all around, with a 30mm drop?As a side note, how much lower are standard GTi's compared to 1.0/1.4's? Deadmetal
You need to be properly low to make 13s look good. A 30mm drop wont even be noticable on 13s.Offset wise you should be fine, arches might need to be rolled if you want to go lower.

arronarronarron
Right now my car is a standard 1.4. From the side it looks cool, if not a little too high. From the back the wheels are too skinny and they sit inside the arch. My only plan is to lower it slightly and get some wider wheels with a lower(?) offset. In other words I don't want people to look at the car go '**** son, the guys balls must be scraping on the floor' rather it just be a tad fatter and lower. Thanks for the information everyone, I'll get planning and put up some pictures
Ringrow21
Best thing to do pal is get some coilovers and then you can choose the ride height. Then decide on some wheels after
