Hello All. Had my lupo now for a month and i thought it was time to create a build thread.

Boring Stuff

1.4s petrol

56700 miles on clock when bought

Electric sunroof

Electric Windows

One lady owner from new :)

Heres some pictures after getting the windows tinted

Great base, like the sunroof, full respray :o the paint work that bad?

its a little tatty on the tailgate, but other than that not really. i work at a bodyshop. so things are alot cheaper for me ;)

sounds good to me, if you work at a bodyshop any smoothing going on?

yea hopefully. gunna get the rear bumper smoothed, and smooth the tailgate. not sure if im gunna get rid of the lock or not

right then. when out for a drive today and the check engine light has came on :( . this is the second time this light has shown itself

first time i got the light reset at work. the chap who reset it said *its due to the car not being driven alot and then being driven hard".

well ive been driving it alot more ( and carefully)and now its re-appeard.

ive checked the fluid levels and there allright.

any ideas whats causing this. cheers

90% brake light switch. Cheap fix.

Mine comes on and off all the time but i've taken it to the garage multiple times and been told they can't seem to find what it is. Could be a faulty sensor?

If you have the money, take it to VW. If not, probably just leave it, mines not come back on for a few months now :)

Mines been on consistantly for about a month, got it plugged in and looks like it might be my lambda but I've been advised to give my throttle body a good clean and check my spark plugs and coil pack as that be causative of this too... hope that helps :)

My engine check light kept appearing and disappearing a few days later, I found it was due to the egr valve being clogged along with the throttle body, so just needed a good clean! also changed all the plugs, leads and coil after it stayed on and the car went into limp mode.

cheers for that. when you start your car does it smell quite fuelly. im gunna do a service on it at the weekend

UPDATE.

ive gave the car a full service and sounds better than ever.

getting the warning light reset tomorrow hopefully. ill keep and eye out to see if the ligh comes back.

referbing the winder wiper arms this week,so that i can put my aero wiper blades on.

Also got my eye on a set of wheels soooo, all is looking good.

little Update

Just bought some aero wiper blades and thought that the arms needed some work doing to them.

Refurbed arms with nice shiney aero blades :)

And holy cow do they make a big difference from the old blades, sooooo much better

Much nicer! :D

Aero blades make the car look much cleaner.

I have them on mine, even when they used to miss a bit. But flattened down now

Whats coming next?

right then chaps and chappets. roof has been prepped and masked up for tomorrow, going with a full black rooooooof

ill put pics up when its done, should be sweeeeeeet B)

okay, so roof is done and looking sweeeeet.

still gotta mop the roof to get it extra shiney.but you get the idea

okay then, havent really done much to the loop. just keeping it clean and driving it

new wheels :D

not sure what they are but they were cheap so got em.

i will get better ones next year when i lower it but for now there fine
