i think oil poored out because when it happened i stop and had a look saw somethink

but didnt know if it was gear box oil or what. makes a funny noise when i rev

like i got a hole in an exghast. but really lack power.

The ECP light stands for Euro Car Parts.

it might mean that you have to go to Euro Car Parts to get it fixed.

Try here: www.eurocarparts.co.uk

Hope this helps!

I take it you mean EPC, rather than ECP? This is electronic power control, need it plugging into VAGCOM to see whats up really.

Can you describe what happened a bit better, did it make a bang and stall, or just start being noisy?

sorry for the spelling mistake.

i was driving home from work and there was a noise when i

went past 3000 revs. but no lack in power. the noise was like a hole in

the exhaust but my lupo is not low and i dont go fast over

speed bumps.so i pushed the throttle little bit harder and

there was a little pop and the noise is louder and lacks

alot of power the epc light cam on.

didnt stall though.

just rang my mechanic he's gonna plug it into the computer tomorrow for me.

First thing I'd have done, tbh.

My CEL came on, i wandered down to see my tame mech, he said it was the EGR valve, fiddled with it, reset it, light went off.

Now it's come back on again, so i need to book it back in with him to get the thing replaced.

my mechanic has said its the sensor down the manifold and he is going to replace it tomorrow. but he said it tricky to get to

because he's gotta take the cam belt and other stuff off to get to it and it's £90 for the sensor and £100 for labour is fair price???
