well the lupo is now off the road for what will probably be a very long time to have some work done :shades:

pick up a new car tomorrow, nothing special just a cheap daily

sorry for the poo update

mark you can my alleycats for your RS's ?? :o

well with me taking the lupo off the road for some major work, ive had to buy a daily

was really undecided with what to get, but after me and karin scoured the internet we found this on ebay, bid on it that night and picked up the day after, all of 5 minute drive :D

granted its a 5 door but for the money and the fact its just a daily i dont care

its a mk2 golf driver

1.6 8v

124,000

bought for ... £330

pretty good i think

so heres how it looked this morning....

tax disc holder change lol

gave it a clay, a good polish session and a coat of dodo juice blue velvet

new look trim gel, and megs tyre gel was used too 8)

notice the welsh dragon removed

there a few little scabs here and there plan is to fix them though

just been reading this thread, verry verry nice work.

im goeting some tyres for my alleycats soon and then they will be on. they look so good in the flesh.

from the looks of things this is going to be a right show stopper!!!

cheers dude, yeah any questions i wont mind answering

small update...

worked on the car for a couple of hours today, got a little bit achieved

started on putting the battery in the boot, same situation as the washer bottle, not fully wired up...

next up is paint the wheel well and boot and probably sound deadening too

also started ripping bits of interior out too

rear door cards

headlining

front lower door cards

rear seat

and other bits and bobs too

also picked this up at edition too :D

small update, nothing major

the washer bottle is now fixed in place and fully working

and a bit more of the interior has been stripped out

should have more to update tommorow

well today the following got done...

gti clocks arrived and trial fitted, along with the brand new gti hood...

just need the middle section now, got a price from VW which isnt too bad if one doesnt come up

stripped out yet more interior :rolleyes:

The GTi clocks look swiiiish :shades: The carpet looks so much better and cleaner now too, will look nice when it's back in. Can't wait for the interior to be finished now hehe, and the rest :cheeky:;)

battery is now in connected up and working, just needs fixing down

next few things to do after payday...

fix battery in place

remove cardboard and glue from the roof

sound deadening

hunting out some cool seats atm too

small update

took the rear lights off today, got rid of the orange filters in them and also got rid of all the lettering too

then machine polished to make them shiny!...
