b-random
I've got this problem when indicating left, clicks faster. have to press the stalk down for the indicator light to flash on the dash and for the indicator to work.is this the only way it can be fixed by having a whole new unit fitted? Linz
I had this last year. It was a dodgy switch inside the stalk. They just replaced the stalk and it was back to normal.
mukilupo
Thanks for all the replies, is it easy to fit new switch/ stalk? Thanks
Linz
I got it done at VW - no idea how easy or difficult it is, sorry.
lupoluke
Mine was doing this is was down to the tracking being out and the steering wheel not being straight when going straight.
toblask
This could be a fuse, or more likely a faulty relay switch somewhere. As it seems the case that replacing the whole stock sorts this issue I would probably just go with that tho.Tom
jon_273
Yes it is probably the stalk. I changed mine when I fitted cruise control, the most difficult part is removing the airbag. It depends on how comfortable you are with taking off the airbag and steering wheel really!
lupogtiboy
i would change the stalk, as mine has just started doing thispart number for indicator stalk is 6n0 953 513 01c and retails around £45 iirc
