simpo
Polo gti fuel consumption isn't great at the best of times, but when there's an excuse to make some noise its going to be pretty dire.

Niche
Could have just bought a DIA, £90, no difference between them imo. Then again, I just wouldn't bother now full stop, panel filter for that extra 0.01bhp
Toi gulp
I've gained 38BHP and my fue consumption has gone up to 78MPG... Or perhaps it just sounds good.. sorry what? gained 38bhp and up to 78mpg on a polo gti??!!! Am i missing somethingI've got a cone filter on my loop and i can back up a power gain and improved fuel economy and it sounds great at high revs. The heat soak argument is overated and almost pointless on the lupo as its got such a long intake path anyway, the manifold is so big on the loop that the intake charge is surrounded by lots of warm metal before it even gets to the head anyway. Tigz™
sorry what? gained 38bhp and up to 78mpg on a polo gti??!!!It was a comment made as a joke to avoid the need for the usual responses of "What about cold air feeds/how much HP etc etc" It was fitted purely for the noise

Tigz™
Mine is a standard Polo GTI airbox cover. The Polo GTI has a powered coated red engine top so the cover shows it off The Lupo GTI was too expensive to waste any more cash on fancy colours
