Nicki
The time has come for me to replace my (compact) digital camera... I've got a budget is £150 and I need your help choosing the best camera for me!Things I'd like:- adjust the exposure length (for night time long exposure shots with tripod)- macro setting- continuous shooting (for track days and the like)Been having a look on various websites & have found the following - let me know your opinions.Sony W170Sony W55 CybershotNikon S550Canon Ixus 80Obviously, I won't necessarily be buying from Dixons, I'm just using their website for info.If anyone can suggest others elsewhere, feel free! dougless
One of those Sony's has a Zeiss lens so that's a plus. Have you thought of a pro-sumer type digital like one of these:http://www.jessops.com/Store/s74297/1-136-...ra/details.aspxNot necessarily this model, but something of this type will usually give you more features than the point and shoot type of camera for not much more money. Nicki
I had considered something like that, but decided that the size was a major downside - Ideally I want something I can just slip into my pocket/bag on a night out
Grapo
I'd go for the Nikon, only because I am totally pleased with my D50. I shall be purchasing the above Nikon for a point and shoot camera for uni nights out.

Mouse_GTI
My sister has a W55 in pink lol. It takes just as good pictures as my W80. They are both 7.2. We used to share a W50 which was only a 6 mega but it was a brilliant camera. Lost it on xmas eve

scottgroovez
Got a Fujifilm F20 which is excellent for night time shots. No doubt superseded by something better now though.
