jonnycv Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 i have noticed this - 1015kg against 979kg i believeits because of the emissions tax change the 1015Kgis the car with every option fitted and is the worstcase scenario - therefore the weight willeffect the emissions output. On my DVLA V5 it states 979Kgwhich is correct as I have not options fitted on my 03 model.The first models weighed 978Kg the extra Kg the extra gear?They have moved production over form Germany to Spain a coupleof years ago and my GTi is not as well finished as my 2000 sport.
