Tigz™
Its a very similar head, with less aggressive cams than you have already. Edited March 4, 2006 by Tigz

dazraz_uk
Its a very similar head, with less aggressive cams than you have already. So would there be an advantage of putting sport cams into a GTI if they are more aggressive?

Arun
i remember reading that the 1.4 can be bored to 1.7, no idea how tho
one litre wonder ;)
heres a point on the boring out point , what would happen if you had it bored out , could you use the pistons etc from the 1.7SDI etc and then use the petrol engine or would it be better just to get a 1.7SDI block and then build it with GTi parts as far as possible ie head , cams etc ?? david_phillips95
the 1.4 sport and the gti have the same bore but different stroke lengths. the gti has a VVT head aint sure what the sport has tho. would prob be easier jst changing the entire engine Dave
