in short simon is saying that the engine is that powerful that it has sheared the engine mounts but when u look at them they aint twisted from the engine rocking , he is also getting slagged for pretty much eveything and everyone else is taking the piss out of him . u kinda need to read all 2 pages

To be honest it was a kinda strange claim to make.

1. No twisting of the frame prior to failure so does not show evidence of an overload, more a material failure like a brittle failure where little (next to no) necking of the material occurs prior to failure

2. Seat frames are designed to (and actually do) withstand huge deceleration forces during car crashes so there is no way the accelerative force of a 150bhp (even being optimistic) car will shear a subframe!

3. In simple laymans terms ignoring all even slightly scientific waffle how come Ferrari, Porche, Lambo, AMG, Aston etc etc dont all have snapped seat frames as I am pretty sure their cars accelerate much faster than a diesel Lupo.

lmao thats funny.

the dude does make me laugh "The amount of times I raced Paddy when the engine was standard..."

but you didn't win! So whats the point in bringing it up! haha

Paddy, just point out to him, that reco can only get the TDi up to 80hp so ask him how the Tuneing box has got him to 100 when I remap cant get the car to that power.

Oh and one more thing.

the car isn't that low.

Ive been running mine on its ass for over a year.

I dont have that many problems.

Not enough to make it "undrivable" even with Yorkshires ***** roads.

What a bunch of sad, knob comparing winkers. Just seems to be a forum full of one up man-ship barry boys frankly.

And I'm seriously thinking that before you are allowed to join an internet forum there must be a literacy test.

Edited to say, I'm no particular fan of P88BEL, but I do admire the effort hes put into the car, even though its pretty far from my tastes.

I have resisted taking the piss out of P88bel for a long time but this pushes me over the edge, however, to make myself feel good I will just borrow the funniest things I have read in a while:

"if your LUPO's torque broke your subframe i'll eat my own *****"

"lay off the pies"

and hmm, I got an astra turbo as a "run about" but looking at an RS2000 (old escort?!?!) and I will have an Evo by end of the summer

I think that topic is best thing I have read in a long time, why does he bother!!

Can't say I've ever read anything the guy's ever posted on here, but he does seem a little, shall we say, misguided in his thinking.

And I particularly like the comment about the Astra being mummy's!!

well first ive had to strip of paint som fool painted them with, honestly its like a diy halfords shot, anyways then some sanding, then use finer grit paper till got a very smooth surface, then 1 bottle of `t-cut` and a lot of polishing this gets out all the little scratches from paper, then have the option to laquer or varnish em as i beleive some do. Ive one almost perfect looking just some stubourn paint parts but lotsa elbow grease seams to be working. I could get em done by someone using a machine but Im getting more satisfaction and supposedly hands better if done right, soon see lol

All else fails pay 60 quid, dont think Im going to need to going by the results, the paint removers a ****** on ur skin accidently got it on we couple of times

Im mirror polishing them, they cost me £122 including delivery to my door, that was with tires, Ive a buyer for the tires as profiles too big for the lupo so that takes em down to just costing me 80 quid!

Polishings costing me nothing, these arent a permanent fixture, Im still in the middle of buying other wheels, porsche again, yep i will be looking at more modern wheels when they come up in 16s and arent too wide. The other ones Im in middle of getting are 16s front wheels are 225s and rears 255s, so may widen back quarters more to house em.

Took delivery of my porsche wheels today, look nuts on the car, I'm changing tires though want a much lower profile.

Theyve had a coat of paint before, but ive rubbed one down and gave it a quick polish and it's well nice, got the wheels real cheap as well, pics coming soon

thing with 17s if u aint got coil overs may hit off front spring seats, they looked even close before i changed to coil overs, Ive bought porsche rims, getn them polished before fitting

Being individual doing something different with the stuff u buy to make it look new, but also look amazing. The quality and types of stuff is well down to what kinda music u like, fast punchy stuff, low deep stuff etc

Ive opted for a kind of changeable setup as i listen to many types of music so some of the times some of my stuff will not even be running like may filter out a sub etc

Im still working on the install at the moment using carbon fibre (real stuff) and some fibreglass, its that cold though im on a go slow at the moment lol

Pics should be online in a bit though and Ive never seen a install like it before, some may like some may not, most would prob say over the top with whats happening, but afterall im using it as a demo car now.

This goes on along the same way.

Take a read.

forum members should not be slagged off on public boards, if you are going to do it keep it to pm's, and the guys not even here to defend himself anyway so its not really fair is it?
