Ok so im in a bit of a dilemma my gearbox has gone on my lupo gti and been quoted £1000 for all the parts and labour etc, now im wondering do i spend the grand to get it fixed or am i better off selling or breaking the car instead. so my question is how much would my car be worth without a gearbox?

specs:

White 2004

73k miles

12 months mot ( done earlier this month no advisors)

lowered on coilovers

cambridge rear lights

double din stereo

full leather interior

priv plate L66 UPO

cade eros wheels 7j

near new tyres all round uni royal rainsport 3

audi tt knee bars

powerflow mid section

scorpion exhaust.

Probably other things ive missed but roughly what price could i get for it? Thanks in advance.

Nice. (apart from all the flowers)

What's up with the gearbox? No idea on price but you'd probably do better to get it fixed with a second hand box.

First and second gear both gone, got another box and only costing £700 total now so getting it fixed :) (flowers are in missus car now haha)

Damn isn't that quite low mileage for a GTI gearbox to go?!

Yea I thought that tbh oh well just can't wait to get the car back now.

Was it you that sold your other white one for this one cos it was much lower mileage? If so I feel sorry for you man!

On the plus side they look so freaking nice in white, I'm glad you are getting it fixed as I'm sure you'd regret selling it.
