Kes
Arosa Write UpSeat Arosa 1.4 TDI S 2001I have for sale my beloved mk2 1.4 Tdi, I used this car to commute to work but have changed jobs and can walk to work. It will easily return 60mpg+. As a car enthusiast I love to enhance cars and have spent a lot of time and money to make this car fast, economical and yet look as standard as possible. All parts have been replaced with either original or OEM and I have all the documentation. Mature driver and always driven with mechanical sympathy.Dblock is my brother so you know the car has been treated well. It has all the usual mods. 100bhp remap which makes it faster and more economical. The 0.622 5th gear mod which does 70mph at 2krpm. This means super quiet and efficient cruising. The mod cost £300. All the normal wear and tear items have been done like the stat, temp sensor and suspension work and a clutch. So the car is good to go. Engine is sweet and is serviced every 6000 miles (half the interval) using the proper PD 505.01 spec oil. Gear box oil is also proper VAG stuff. Coolant is G12++. The car has been treated very very well. I bet you can’t find a car on sale that has been treated as well as this one. We have 2 Arosa Tdi’s in the house so we know these cars well. Please have a look at the ad on Gumtree http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/seat-arosa-tdi-14-30-road-tax-60mpg-1-year-mot-fsh-like-lupo-turbo-diesel-just-serviced/1124637582· 2001 1.4 tdi· Canica Blue· 92k miles· Full service history· MOT 1 year no advisories· £30 per year road tax (Post 2001 model so cheaper tax £30 compared to £150)· Remote central locking, Electric Windows, Cabin Filter, Light Interior· HPI Clear· £2000 onoWorks that have been carried out:New key fob (comes with 2 keys)Cambelt change, water pump and coolant flush @75kHeadunit with iPhone compatibilityThermostatCoolant temp sensorNew car battery with 3 year warrantyFront brake discs and padsFront wheel bearingsBall joints frontSuspension bushings frontInner and outer track rodsProfessional wheel alignmentEGR delete with race pipeRemap (100bhp safe, more power and economy)Diesel tank ventectomy (can put in more fuel)TurboN75 ValveBrake light switchAux beltK&N air filterDiesel purge (cleans fuel system and injectors)Carbon pollen filterBoot trayGearbox oil changeGearbox rebuildClutch5Th gear Mod (Higher gear ratio for better mpg)Relay 109Rear brake cylindersFront exhaust flexiBad pointsStarter squeels on startup (common VAG issue, doesn’t affect startup and easily remdied)Bodywork has some age related scratches and one golf ball ding (overall very good condition)Some very slight rustSqueek from inside car which I think is the boot (common issue, also easily remedied)http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6141_zpsdvdzmgm4.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6143_zpsfwg07cvn.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6146_zps2vuvao8x.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6148_zpshqeysgsc.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6153_zpsoswsp9pd.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6156_zpsmisiwez1.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6159_zpsd0ueur03.jpg~originalhttp://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t362/kessarsalimi/IMG_6164_zpsa81fsefq.jpg~original
Dblock
I endorse this car. It's actually minter then mine. It's had all the proper maintenance and good mods done. The Canica blue is a proper funky colour too. I have worked on this car myself and I give it the Dblock's seal of approval.

wehey
Damn shame you don't live nearer. I would buy this in a heartbeat ?
Dblock
Damn shame you don't live nearer. I would buy this in a heartbeat Dundee is easily accessible by rail, air or road. I've told my brother it's actually way to cheap for what it is but he said it's better it goes to someone who will use it, enjoy it and it will save them money. I bet you could drive from my house to yours for less than £50 in this car.
Skezza
It's a beauty, and I love the fact people are getting into the long 5th mod. I'm guessing that would take your MPG up quite a bit for motorway speeds!!My only disappointment is that you've fitted a K&N. Have absolutely no time for aftermarket air filters. That said, the price is about right and the fact it's had a gearbox rebuild means this car probably has many thousands more miles in it. Has the turbo been rebuilt or just one of those kits? Either way, the turbos on these are pretty strong imo anyway.

Remember Skezza you still haven't shown me any proof for your hate of K&N's. Plus they are washable so you save on service intervals. #Yes, gearbox and clutch has been done and it's good to go. Also people love the color.

DBlock, I've shown you plenty of proof that they make absolutely no difference on a Lupo whatsoever. I'm sure I linked you to a scientific test that proved a good OEM air filter outperformed a K&N oil filter both freshly oiled, at maximum 'efficiency' and overly dirty. Don't forget, an air filter is there to.... err filter air? Here you go: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.htmlThrow in the fact that when they're not at maximum efficiency, they're only filtering at an efficiency of about 60%. Yeah, not worth it. If you want a nice induction roar, get to a scrappy, buy a second hand air box, and drill it pre-filter side. You'll get all the noise of K&N without wearing your engine away. Changing filter add no noise, due to you not even knowing that I must doubt the rest of your theory as the first part then doesn't make any sense at all. K&N filters add NO NOISE unless the current OEM kit(not filter) is taken out and an open filter is installed. If you didn't realise that then you don't understand how the tdi induction system works. Also it's not about adding power but adding service to your air filter with the ability to wash. My mate has a k&N installed on a merc with 250k miles, k&N for over 110k miles so I doubt your claim but each to their own. Still for sale and now on ebay and autotrader. Skezza
Come on mate, you know that I know how a aftermarket air filter works.I'm talking about your naff cone filters hanging around in your engine bay sucking in warm air. A panel filter/oem style cylindrical filter, yeah fine although the science in the link above still applies.

Moderators don't get likes? Science is science I won't refute that but experience is experience. I can agree to disagree. I personally think you may have had or read too much about bad experience or maybe your mates are all chavs lol. But induction kits can work fine I would not put them on my cars if they where bad. Plus not blocking your egr, not cleaning or venting your pcv/CCV is a lot worse for your car than an air filter.
