TonerGti
I have been looking at the car and one of the wheels was sitting in about 3inchs than the other.Does anyone no why this is the red one sits in 3 inches more then the yellow one. I'm think the yellow disc and caliper is a gti one and the red one is like a 1.0 but would this make the different why one wheel is sitting in more or would it be the hub as well. Thanks
Pete
When you say sits in, do you mean the whole wheel or just at the top/bottom?
TonerGti
The whole wheel sits in. Has a guy out to note and we think it's a 1.0 hub disc and caliper
jon_273
Yes the red one looks like a 1.0/1.4 75bhp caliper. The ball joint could be wrong too - that's what gives the GTi a wider front track. Might be worth checking to see if they are different on each side.
