Hello, So I managed to burst my inner CV joint yesterday on my car, which resulted in losing drive. I have to go get a spline tool to remove it today, and have priced a replacement Inner CV with TPS.... £163! (To put it into perspective I've just bought a run around Audi A4 for £180!) Did a quick search on here for the following part numbers that I have discovered are associated with this part 6N0498103A (possibly superseeded by?...) 6N0498103AX So my question is, is it possible to source one for cheaper? Or do I just bite the bullet and buy it? Has to be ordered too, so won't be until after Christmas till I see it! Cheers Mick

Hi guys, i am picking up a new engine and gearbox lump for my lupo, im changing from the 75hp 1.4 to a 100horsepower version. i have got engine gearbox and ecu from him, however he scrapped the car with the wiring loom still inside! here is my question, is it the same wiring loom between the two models? a completely different one, or is it possible to splice the new ecu into my existing loom i understand i will have to flash the ecu to remove the immobiliser system that is normally coded to the key and i am able to do that with the help of my local garage i believe. any advice? anyone who has done this and has any tips would be grateful

Company car forces sale of this very economical Lupo 1.4 TDI Sport. Hi spec for a little car, electric windows, central locking , spot lights, alarm immobilizer, dash tidy / cup holder, factory alloys, mud flaps. 64mpg and £30 tax. Has adjustable coilover suspension fitted. The lupos got service history stamped up to 65000, I've had it since 2011 and have serviced it every year, cam kit and water pump fitted at 90000, new discs and pads at 100k, cam position sensor at 100k, clutch kit fitted a year ago at approx 104k, exhaust back box and anti roll bar drop links at 110k, EGR was cleaned out recently and it's just been serviced. Few small age related dings and chips but other than that quite quite clean and tidy. Mileage is just over 112000 but car is in use so this will increase. mot till 4/2015 Car is in Birmingham £2400 ono

Hi All I picked up the misses Lupo TDI last night BEing more of a Jap guy having had 4 mx5's 2 turbos and 2 throttle bodied. I have no idea of VW lol So might need abit of help!! I am also dyslexic i will try my best but bare with me if anything annoys you about my grammar please refrain from commenting THANK YOU Spec Below: Lupo TDI Sport 1.4 (107BHP 200 Torq) 1999 reg 110kMilesLowered (coilovers)Remapped Straight through ExhaustVault meterBoost Gauge (fitted but not working) Might need help with this.Bad Boy Bonnet Ok first things i notice on the 40mile journey back in RED was(if you could help with these please): Coil light flashing when driving and brake lights not working, these connecting in anyway? owner seemed to think so. Now for the cosmetics: Roof Black (will be getting carbon fiber wrapped)BadBoy Bonnet Black (will be getting sprayed back to red)Bumper strips (these will be getting removed)Bumper grill red ( these will be getting paint mat black or wrapped in carbon)Filler Cap Black ( will be getting painted red)Arosa Rear Light ( standard one put back on)Interior The Interior is pretty much standard other than Boost gauge and volt meter gauge panel (replaced the center fans)Decent Stereo with sub and amp in the bootBoost gauge will need plumbing in ( i have had alook at the engine and think it would be best to plumb this into the top of the intercooler, is this right?) Hi all, This is my first post on club lupo so I dont know if this is in the correct section or not. Anyway, I am currently looking at buying my first car. I have found a VW lupo 1.4 S Auto that I like but I am aware that they only have a cassette player in them. I really want to keep the shelf under the cassette player for CD's and various other things. I was wondering can you buy the VWZ4Z3 unit in the UK and can it be fitted to replace the stock cassette player? Also do the dimensions of the two players match? I really do not want to have a modern looking CD player so am only interested in what VW CD players I can fit to replace the original cassette player. Thanks for any and all replies in advance

So I've got a 1.0l lupo and being a mechanic and enthusiastic tinkerer, I feel the need to push it to its limits, and before people start saying but a gti or buy a 1.4 or engine convert it the point of this is to have fun an try to push the boundaries of this way to practice 1.0L. Any ideas would be great as to what to do. I've already gone for the standard of lowering and banded steels, however im feeling some forced induction coming along and feel that a supercharger is the better way to go for this, as turbo converting it may be stupid, I have access to a fabrications workshop and body-shop as well as a massive garage the only restriction is money here and our imagination so please chip in with some ideas guys lets see how much fun we can have!

Hi guys so I was just wondering what's the best way to go about fitting wheels that are 5x112 to a loop don't fancy getting any new ones as I made these ones up nicely for my taste. Could I convert the axle ends or will I need new axles I have access to a fabrications workshop so and work can be done that's needed. Any help would be great thank you!

Hi guys I'm new to the forum and thought I'd create a thread for "Rosie" the Arosa who I purchased on Sunday, she only has 35k miles on the clock! Not bad for an old girl eh? This car is actually for my girlfriend when she passes which I hope will be soon, not sure what to do with her yet, obviously lows and new rims in the not to distance future, can anyone think of anything else?

Hi guys, Ive just got a set of BBS reps for my lupo and they are wrapped in some stretched tyres but I am unsure as to what the air pressure should be? They are 15x7 wheels with 165/50r15 Nankang tyres. Does the stretch make a difference to the best air pressure? Thanks in advance.

So the dipped beam lights have always flickered. Finally decided to sort it and just wondered if anyone has any experience with the Xenons and the components that could likely be the cause. There's no pinkish tinge and also the lights shine brightly then get dimmer as time passes. They also get Brighter when indicating or breaking. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance, Matt

Hey I want to get a new back box for my car, to make it louder and sound better, but I don't know whether to go straight through, or to order a new one.
