  3. I'm selling my Volkswagen Polo GTi! It is a W-plate (2000) 6N2 3-door in diamond black pearlescent with the usual GTi refinements including: xenon headlights, remote central locking, ABS, PAS, cloth interior, sunroof, air conditioning, standard GAMMA stereo, boot-mounted 6CD changer and 125bhp 1.6-litre engine. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a car of this age. I can provide the original airbox, engine cover and "GTI" badges if the buyer wants them. Pictures: Price: £2600 o.n.o. Otherwise just reply to this topic with any questions about the car! I have probably missed something in writing out this advert, just ask if you want to know anything more or need to see more pictures?
  4. Morning all! I'm selling my Alpine CDE-9850Ri headunit, removed from my Polo. 5. Hi all, I spotted a black Lupo Sport (it had a 16v badge in the front grille anyway) on the A38 Southbound, near Ripley today, Tuesday 5th October! It was a bit before 2pm. Private plate **EKR. Lots of pink stickers in the back window! I was in the white 08-plate VW Caddy that pulled out as you went past
  6. No need for a description when you have a camera phone! Does this belong to a CL member? Cheers
  7. I've had my 'W'-reg Polo GTi for almost 6 years now. Its now showing 106,000 miles (bought it with 51,000 on the clock) and haven't had any gearbox trouble at all. Changed the gearbox oil at about 80k miles but otherwise have stuck to the regular service schedule. Potential issues you might encounter are cambelt in need of replacement (every 40,000 miles or every 5 years, whichever is first), corroded rims on the standard BBS RX2 split rims (budget up to £400 for a professional refurb), faulty or weak gearboxes, and the finish on the interior door handles flakes off very easily and starts to look very tatty (easily fixed by buying a new pair from VW). Camshaft position sensor was one of the things I have replaced during my ownership of the car too. They are decent little cars, not as quick as a Lupo GTi due to added weight and size but nimble enough. Book figures are 125bhp, 0-60mph in 8.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 127mph. As usual, look out for accident repair damage, that kind of stuff. Make sure the air conditioning or climate control works, and goes cold, and check all the electrics of course. They only come in red black or silver, and can have black, red, or black-with-red-piping seatbelts. Lots more info can be found here. Cheers! Si
  8. I've seen it too Loved it - but following on from Alex's geeky points post above, I want to add one more! Absolutely no mention or background to the introduction of a Decepticon Pretender other than just that she was there! (Alice) Will be seeing it again! And Steve: Orange Wednesday mate
  9. VAGParts used to do the kit - arms and blades, all the bits you need - but they ceased trading when the Pound weakened against the Euro sadly. Got my Lupo GTi aero bits from TPS!
  10. Spotted just around the corner from my house! I pulled up alongside about an hour ago and had a look, even though it meant stopping my car in the middle of the road '51'-plate black example on Ronal Turbo rims!
  11. Just caught up with this show on the iPlayer. Hugely entertaining! Worth watching just for the tuned alpine cow bells but overall a great show
  12. "Snake" over the bump! If I do not snake over the one at my work, I will catch the exhaust on it. Left a few marks already
  13. Erm lets see... Tea Titties The smell of carnauba wax (loving the smell of this AutoGlym HD wax at the moment) +1 for finding money you forgot you had (I found 15 Bulgarian leva in my 'boarding pants the other week!) iTunes/iPod shuffle is great for this when you have loads of songs. Random stuff pops up out of nowhere! Skunk Anansie was one the recent ones for me (We Don't Need Who You Think You Are), love it!

    Saz!!

Mine is lowered over G60 steels with no centre caps and I had a little sharkfin aerial on (now off again) - sound right to you? Not many about so it could well have been me but my memory after a curry and a few large Cobras is not so good! Went to the Punjab Terrace
  15. Si_GTi

    Saz!!

I was in Bridgnorth on Friday night / Saturday morning!

    Saz!!

Spotted Saz this morning, little Raven Blue Lupo on that distinctive private 'plate flashed by on the opposite carriageway on the M54 near J2 at about 10:00am? I was heading back to Shrewsbury in my work van - VW Caddy - so you would not have spotted me!
  17. I've only listened to it once through so far but I think it'll be a grower. Will be in the car on repeat play all this week for sure
  18. Agreed! Saw them live last December supported by Kids In Glass Houses - both awesome - going again this year!
  19. Euphoric trance is my "fast driving" music... sometimes a bit of Lab 4 if I'm feeling a bit mad
  20. I love Scrubs Try Zero7, Kinobe, maybe Corinne Bailey Rae, that sort of stuff. I've also got a great album on the Euphoria label from a few years back, I think its called something like "the very best of euphoric breakdown". Very very chilled out stuff! Superb mix of ATB's 9pm too. Scrubs soundtrack album has a good bunch of tunes on it too
  21. That. Looks. Awesome!!! What colour is that? Its lovely, wish it was an option on the Polo GTi Cheers
