  2. Haha!.. Well I was driving in the opposite direction, accelerating to over 30mph.. which in my 1.0, is like breaking the sound barrier I did well to notice as much as I did!

    Low ET wheels

Similar related question here about Offset. I'm looking at some 7x15 wheels with an offset of ET24? Whats the minimum ET I should be looking at, for wheels to "comfortably fit" under the arches. I dont want to be doing some extreme tyre stretching and archwork to make them fit
  4. I've had AP's on my Loop for just about a year now. Excellent product, no leaking seals and the adjusters are perfect working order assuming you grease them properly when fitting But yeah, ride is comfortable, and not too bouncy at all. Recommended.
  5. I know!... In this colour: With these wheels:
  6. Looked pretty sweet on those polished wheels...
  7. I use SRP and "Macs Step 3". Really nice results... however i'm still inclined to try out AutoGlyms black bottle to see what that produces.
  8. For anyone who loves the smell of 540bhp in the morning… Youtube Vid Link...
  9. That would be really helpful mate, cheers!
  10. Do you have anything in the engine bay mate? My main gripe is the noise coming from the engine bay. The Lupo 1.0 engine isnt the most amazing sound, hence I want to drown it out and make it nice and quiet. I'm going to purchase that original VW Lupo bonnet sound deadening part tomorrow, and also purchase some SecondSkin to stick inside the engine bay.
  11. Yeah pretty much just road-noise mate. I'm about to start buying some faux leather to do some retrimming and thought about putting some sound-deadening in while it's accessible. So you think the Under Bonnet stuff isnt worth it then?
  12. Hey all... It appears 'sound deadening' the car is something worth doing, but there's lot of ways, and lots of products to do it with! I've just got access to a Factory Standard 'VW Lupo Under Bonnet Sound Deadening' part, off a friend breaking a Lupo. "Quiet motoring" isn’t a luxury with the "1 Liters" So, would spending £25 on a factory Under Bonnet VW Lupo kit be worth doing? Or should I just spend some money on a product like Second Skin?
  13. Cars looks real fine Emz Awesome look... whats with the black plates? Are they just for showing?
  14. Thanking y'all for the comments Hmm the chrome trim on the back bootlid is just something subtle i'm hoping will eventually (when I get my wheels) balance out the "shiny metal" around the car. When I get the wheels i'm after, that chrome trim should look a bit more relevant But until then, i'm going to focus on the interior and make step by step upgrades...
  15. Just found this useful thread in the depths of the forum, if anyone else has a similar problem. Quoted from kmurphy "Just in relation to my above question, i didnt get any feedback from this of where the above resistor was located, i done a quick search under the dash and located it simply in the passenger footwell, up in the corner under the lower pocket, simply above the small cover thats under their. its held on by two small bolts and their is a connection going in. I took off the resistor and noticed it rusty and cracked, meaning that was the reason my heater would not work on number 1 - 3 . I purchased another resistor pack on ebay, it was off a VW Polo 2001, but it had the same part number as the Lupo, it fitted straight on. simple job, took 10 mins. Hope this helps others who have the same problem of the heater fan not working on number 1 - 3. The part cost 12 pound, buy second hand. The part number is 1J0 819 022 A." Helpful thread... I guess i'll have a look at the pack under the dash and see what state it's in. If I cant get it working again, i'll keep my eye out for a Resistor Pack on Ebay.
  16. Howdy folks Just updating my thread with a recent photoshoot!
  17. Sounds like it was a good event.. I'll hopefully be there next year when I have a Lupo worth showing
  18. Well if for arguments sake there's a bit of grit or something nasty in your washing mit, and you do a nice curcular motion it'll leave a nice circular scratch, or series of blemishes. I find 'straight' scratches or marks are easier to treat, or hide on the bodywork panels. It's just personal preference mate to be honest.
  19. No mate, they supplied it all and fitted Just got a quote to have the aux belt changed, £20! I've got a belt that I got from Halfords which was a little under £10... so i think i'll get mine booked in the week to get the Aux belt done.
