  1. The TDi Is a smart choice though. you'd have to spend a bit on a remap but then your looking at over 100bhp, more torque, and still £35 a year tax. EDIT: I heard this, I can't guarantee that you can get over 100bhp.
  2. thats what I think someone will correct me if im wrong
  3. You can buy a BMC CDA for a stupid amount of money, It will make no noticable difference to the speed of your car, And will make the same noise as a K&N or anything cheaper.
  4. noone wants big tyres on a lupo, im pretty certain the nankangs are the tyres ill buy. unless anyones knows of a better size for a 14x6?
  5. I reckon Ill stick with what I know and go for the nankangs then. apparently the federals have a "stylish tread pattern" I couldnt care what it looks like, a tread pattern is for 1 reason only! Do you reckon you could show us some pictures of your teardrops with the nankangs on? I've looked on tyrestretch, but would just like a couple of extra pictures to get an idea of how they will look? Im worried that the 55 profile will be pretty big, but its a ratio of the tread width isnt it? so it wont be as big as my 185/55s.
  6. ooooh controversial ^^ : ) exaggerations went up a million percent last year.
  7. Right now that I have facebook what do I do with it?
  8. I was always pretty anti-facebook but i literally just signed up cos apparently theres some pictures of a party on facebook and you cant see them without joining up So add Rob Stevens : )
  9. ...a rat-themed 16/60 would look cool as ****? Click on the thumbnail
  10. Well as I said Im basing this purely on hearing "Crack a bottle" and "We made you" on radio 1. I need to get a copy of the album before I can decide.
  11. Ive been looking at the Federal Formoza FD1 and the Nankang NS-2 Just wondering If anyone has experience with either of these tyres? Any opinions? They are the only tyres I can find in 155/55/14 I heard nankangs are pretty gash, But they seem pretty popular.
  12. You know you drive a lupo when Your crappy TA Technix coilovers keep you from falling asleep at the wheel by bouncing you even on smooth roads When you go to close the door, and the handle and door card come off in your hand. When your reversing round the drive-thru because your drivers side window doesnt work. When you have to order every part twice, because they will send you a polo part first. When your sat at the side of the road with no petrol, despite the needle being Just under a 1/4, nowhere near the red and the petrol light isn't on
  13. Admittedly I havent heard the whole album. But what I hear on the radio, I dont like. I think its just generic US hip-hop, And theres already far too much of that. The marshall mathers LP was brilliant. I wasnt allowed to play it when my nan came round : )
  14. I think they are 6.5" I've been looking into doing this aswell. I dont want to cut into my existing wiring loom, Does anyone know If you can buy the ISO pins in the original wiring loom to crimp the rear speaker wires to and put in the loom? And where to buy from?
  15. I have no idea. But I like your signature : )
  16. How old are you? If you cant afford the insurance on a GTi the 1.4 sport is a reasonable compromise. Still has a center exit exhaust, discs all round, and produces 100bhp which in a car of this size is good. But if you can get a gti I would.
  17. If we're doing jade goody jokes I went to the video store the other day and fancied that new slumdog millionaire. Got it home and it was jade goodys funeral video, I took it straight back and said "whats this? I asked for slumdog millionaire" "sorry mate, I though you asked for some dog with no hair"
  18. I had the same. You drill it, bolt it & Grease it!
  19. And I quote... "D'oh!" Shoulda seen that really, cheeers.
  20. Came to fit my coiliovers last night... When you fitted the front strut, did you swap any of the original top hats or anything? This is the OEM top which is made from rubber And this is the PhilJ top which is just metal. I dont like the idea of having metal on metal like that, No wonder people say the ride is harsh! I tried to swap the rubber parts from OEM Strut but the diameter of the springs are different. So im just wondering what you lot did, If it hasnt caused you any problems then ok, But it seems wrong to me. VW obviously made them rubber for a reason? Cheers, Rob.
  21. Hi from northants also If you have a photobucket account you can use that, but i just go to www.imageshack.us, upload it, find the code called "Thumbnail for forums (1)" and somewhere in the code will be ".th.jpg" delete the ".th" for the full size picture
