    thanks fella you are corect im trying to compile as much info as i can to undertake a home build id rather cut my own legs off than pay 7-8k for someone else to do it thanks again if anyone else in the know would like to share some info would be great

    g'day has anyone compiled a definate list off parts required to compleate this convertion yet ive done a search and only come up with speculation and theory things id like to know is what shafts have people used ? engine mounts ? parts from donor car ? engine/loom/clocks/ecu/keys would be nice if someone in the know could compile a definate list and maybe sticky it i see its been asked many times but no definate ansers

  5. curently sorting out all the little isues on my sport before i put it up for sale . i have a problem with the front wipers pasenger side has come off the linkage under the plastic cover where the ecu is ect i have managed to ease it back on again but it just comes off . just wondering if anyone has had the same problem and what parts i need to replace to fix the issue. thanks in advance
  6. look in the boot off your car and under the carpet u will see a white sticker has engine code and gearbox code first code is engine second gearbox think some polo's have same boxes if code matches then it will fit im haveing the box replaced on my sport gearbox code on mine is ETB cheapest recon box i have found is £500 with 6mth warenty if u find anywere cheaper hola

  8. s3boy im in sale mate south manchester Tallika_Fan im not sure where u check the oil on the lupo on previous cars ive owned theres a sort of spy hole on the side off gearbox dont think the lupo has one but i may be wrong if you have the same symtoms as me i wouldent waste the £10 on a litre of oil it wont make a differance

  10. well few weeks ago the car started makeing a strange noise like grinding stoped when outa gear and stoped when clutch was down over about 2 weeks it got worse so i toke it in vw for them to have a quick look see if thay had any idea what it was a guy had a quick spin in it and said sounded like gearbox had lost oil and bearing was worn told me 2 choice's fill it up with more oil and it might be fine for a few more mths or new gearbox £1k so i went with the latter and put some oil in wich decided to emptey itself outside my house last night + noise is alot worse now comes with a whine too anyways does anyone know somewhere decent in the northwest that can replace the box somewhat cheaper than vw as i dont fancy forking out over 1k thanks in advance

  12. not rebuilding box had a leak and lost some oil so need to refill it just need to find out what grade is used
  13. hi i went into vw today for some gearbox oil for my 2000 V reg lupo sport thay dident have any in stock and wont have any till friday the guy in vw couldent tell me the grade off oil i need so i could go buy it somewere else ive searched the net to try find out what grade oil my box will need with no luck could anyone here help me thanks
