Sony CD Changer on a Beta HU
lupogtiboy replied to Petrified's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
connects2 make a vw to sony lead, costs around £50! meant for a 6 cd changer, tho will work with a ten disc, but you'd have to let the discs from 7 thru to ten play thru as i don't know how you'd select them! http://www.connects2.com/pdfFiles/english%...Dselections.pdf This only shows kenwood, alpine, pioneer and clarion, but i know you can get a sony one coz i got one! http://www.connects2.com/pdfFiles/english%...DMDMP3001_1.pdf *edited to add bottom link showing sony!* -
gti's ALWAYS had heated mirrors! they are switched on with the rear screen demistor switch!

Information: The Part Numbers Thread
lupogtiboy replied to MattyB's topic in The Archive - "How to" and "Information"
this is certainly the case where i work, but part numbers won't need any W's or V's in front or behind them. not sure where this myth comes from, seeing as 99% of vw dealers run ETKA and GDMS for parts listings and stock control! -

make sure the engine is cold when you do it or you'll burn yourself! tha sensor is held in with a slide-out clip, on the gearbox side of the engine, in a water outlet, or flange as vw call them! shud have a 4 pin connector on it, pull this off, pull the clip out, grab the top of the sensor, and it shud come out! then reverse the procedure to refit new sensor, remebering the seal! -

Remote central locking.
lupogtiboy replied to Petrified's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
they are around £3 from vw. single battery part no is n 10528301 -
from vw the part number for a set of wipers (n/s and o/s) is 1J0 998 003, costs £16.74 inc vat. the only thing you'll have to do is turn the clips round, as vw don't bother to do this!
