Tho it looks like after all the heavy rain we've had, that i'm soom gonna need ANOTHER brake lite!   5. gti's ALWAYS had heated mirrors! they are switched on with the rear screen demistor switch!
  6. yes, they do! from vw, you can only buy the glass with the heating element in it!
  7. this is certainly the case where i work, but part numbers won't need any W's or V's in front or behind them. not sure where this myth comes from, seeing as 99% of vw dealers run ETKA and GDMS for parts listings and stock control!

  11. make sure the engine is cold when you do it or you'll burn yourself! tha sensor is held in with a slide-out clip, on the gearbox side of the engine, in a water outlet, or flange as vw call them! shud have a 4 pin connector on it, pull this off, pull the clip out, grab the top of the sensor, and it shud come out! then reverse the procedure to refit new sensor, remebering the seal!
  12. coolant temp gauge part no shud be 059 919 501 a colour is green, cost around £25 you'll also need a seal, part no n 903 168 02, about 90p maybe a bottle of coolant too, g 012 a8 fm1, around 5.89
  13. i got the door pins and the rear wiper mod too! easiest mods i ever done! lol! and cheap too! lupo's looking good mate! nice work!

  21. from vw the part number for a set of wipers (n/s and o/s) is 1J0 998 003, costs £16.74 inc vat. the only thing you'll have to do is turn the clips round, as vw don't bother to do this!
