  1. was driving happily along yesterday when suddenly my headunit just died, now it wont turn on or anything. i've checked all my fuses etc and they're all fine, quickly tried sticking my mates headunit in earlier on but that didn't seem to wanna work either style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> i was really pumping out the music when it died, dont know if thats relevant or not?? anyone got any other ideas as to what could have happened? please help me out as i'm absolutely hating driving around without my tunes!
  2. was looking at doing something along these lines to my arosa. when i took the big engine cover off there were two rubber hoses connected to it on the right hand side (as you stand in front of the car). are these the "warm air feed off the front of the exhaust manifold" you mentioned? is it fine to just leave these not connected to anything?
  3. right, have been trying to work this out for ages. how do i remove the plastic engine cover on my 1 litre?? there seem to be some differing opinions with regards to it either pulling straight off or whether or not there are screws/bolts that need undoing, can anyone shed some light on this for me?
  4. i know it can be a bit sedate, but at least i get to enjoy the scenery for those few seconds longer less hatin on the 1 litre!!
  5. thats essexloop's motor isn't it? i recognise the background, thorndon hall if i'm not mistaken??
  6. thats pretty good, i payed about that just to get my bumbers sprayed
  7. how much you payin to get those strips smoothed out one litre? i really fancy doing the same to mine

    panel filters

is there a panel filter for the 1litre arosa?
  9. this sounds like a really cool idea, i'd definitely be up for this, got f**k all else planned for the sumer and a big lupo/arosa cruise would be sweet. i'd love to see the looks on people's faces at the sight of a huge gange of loops eating up the tarmac
  10. good point about securing stuff down. my mate had a bit of a smash on new year's day and his sub and amp burst through the back seats and could easily have done some damage.
  11. oh man is that a bitch! you're in for some scraped knuckles and a bad back
  12. this is my little install border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  13. dude just brave it, its not worth paying someone to do it, i dont know crap about electronics but its really not too hard. i can't believe your headunit doesn't have dedicated rear speaker outputs as well as the rca's
  14. it only takes simple speaker cable to run them out of the normal speaker outputs, so you wouldn't be saving on any wire or anything. i suppose you're headunit may not have a normal rear speaker output? either way i think it'll be pretty much the same. sorry dude but i keep thinkin i'm not quite gettin your problem here, is there somethin i'm not understandin? feck it, i'm knackered and pretty much wasted so i'm sure everything'll make some more sense tomorrow
  15. i took the little block connector thingy where the speaker cables connect to the headunit off and basically stuck the 6x9 cables into it and whacked it back in the headunit. is this what you were asking or have i completely misunderstood?
