Nitrogen filling isn't about pressure loss. It's about holding a more consistent pressure, for longer, and over differing conditions. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think you mean cable-less... What's the point of swapping the intake manifold, throttle body, and remapping... If the rest of the motor is fcukin stock? Put smaller tyres on it... It'll accelerate faster style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Indicators into the foglights, and meshing the indicators?

If you try and use the 55w H3 bulb as a flasher, they will do... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> -
Ze Germans have been using it for years... As have most racing teams. Nuff said style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Indicators into the foglights, and meshing the indicators?
Dubya replied to dannywhiteley's topic in Styling
The bulbs and bulb holders are different... Front fogs use 55w H3 bulbs, and indicators use stock 21w bulbs with offset pins. If you can source an amber bulb, then it's just a case of choppin the wires at the back of the indicator, and extending them down to the fog lamps. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> -

I don't have permission to post in the Part Numbers thread... So, for reference: 6H0 941 699 A - Lower Front Fog Lamp, Left hand side x 1 6H0 941 700 A - Lower Front Fog Lamp, Right hand side x 1 N 017 762 2 - H3 Halogen Light Bulb x 2 6H0 805 903 A B41 - Lower Front Spoiler x 1 1J0 973 722 - 2 Pin Flat Connector Housing x 2 N 104 269 01 - Spring Clamp x 4 N 104 271 01 - Spring Clamp x2 Are required to fit fogs to the front of your Lupo. Costs £139.02 +VAT. You can use your existing switch, and both front and rear fogs will come on at the same time, when you pull the switch out.. Or you can buy another 2 click switch - Front fogs come on first, then both come on. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Off topic, but Yup. 6x14", ET38, with 185/55/14 tyres. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I've not measured before or after ground clearances or wheel arch gaps. My lowering amount is based purely on the length of thread left on the strut. Manufacturing figures claim 100mm lowering capabilities, but I've not measured anything to prove this fact. My diesel is lowered 40mm on springs... If my gti stands next to it, you can noticeably see a difference in total ground clearance, and roof height. Wing mirror height, and window lines stick out at first glance... I would think front bumper to ground clearance is around 30/35mm on the gti at the moment (if I lift the back end on a trolley jack, the front strengthener strip sits on the deck) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
-
The gumpf that comes with them says it'll lower by 100mm... The rears on my gti are wound down all the way, and have the locking ring removed. The fronts have 10mm of thread left... I have no issues with scraping or fouling, on the arches or driveshafts - only the front bumper strengthener on speed bumps! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Radiator grill surround? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

It's a silly idea style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Fitment of the drive shaft to the diff and the front hub should be the same. The only differing feature being the shaft diameter and length, depending on the model variant and power output. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

About 'that' big... **holds up hand, measuring out pipe size with fingers** It's a 2" system (50.8mm outer dia) iirc, but I can get the vernier out tomorrow sometime and check if you want an exact size? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Hey ho... Anyone know what I need, to fit factory fog lights to the front of my Lupo Diseasel? Is it just a case of the grill, two lights, brackets, and loom/plugs? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> Not really worried about costs involved, or sourcing 2nd hand parts. Will buy everything new from the Dealers... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

If I was doing it, I'd need GTI: Complete motor with gearbox and linkages, Motor mounts, Exhaust system, Driveshafts, Front hubs and brakes, Rear stub axles and brakes (or complete beam), Front and rear shockers and springs, Front subframe and anti-roll bar, Complete loom with ECU and keys, though you can use existing interior electrics by chopping the looms together, Radiator and hoses, And not totally sure, but probably steering rack - or atleast the drum sticks. All interchangeable - unbolt one item, replace it with the other. All GTI parts are relatively hard to come across, and usually demand a premium (people think it's worth more, because it came of a GTI). In an ideal world, you'd need to find a rear-ended GTI to source all the right parts. Blackrat has started on his Arouser... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Probably both. Shaved fronts are always good... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

Why not make up a 'blank' out of sheet steel? Would be easier to make and mount, and a lot stronger in my opinion. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
