  2. Nice job Exxxtreme Arosa, those calipers really make the difference I think. Well I did it,... I came back with my arch rolling tool from the US, real funny going through security control at LAX I can tell you. They got me to open both my cases that contained the tool...I think they thought I had a gun in there or something. I anticipated that I might get some problems going through security so preprinted a picture of the tool off the website and gave it to them. They must have seen the funny side cos they smirked at me and gave me the thumbs up as they closed my cases back up. 3. Welcome to the club mate...your figures are very similar to mine, when I got mine remapped at Jabba last year. Having just analyzed the figures, they were infact exactly the same as yours, but I was a little concerned about the engine kicking out black smoke at about 3000RPM that I asked Michael to de-tune it a little, which he did. GREAT FUN isn't it....ENJOY!!! Are you getting quite a bit of smoke at 3K RPM?? Regards Mark http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=15023
  4. Sorry for the late response M1 Lupo I have been in the US for nearly 4 weeks, but the answer is no, I don't find them noisey....I don't think so anyhow??? I have them in the rears too, why do you have them fitted and if so do you find them noisey? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Mark
  5. If you're still unsure, just go to your dealer (or call them), give them your chassis number and they will (as if by magic) look on their computer and tell you the colour/code. The code for mine is on a little sticker in the spare wheel well. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  6. Nice one mate, cars's lookin' sweet. You got a good article, I enjoyed reading it...well done bud. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Oil Leak

Same as mine style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Check around the area of your sump plug if you can take off the undertray. Like I said earlier, the undertray tended to disrupt the air flow and splattered the oil everywhere, my first thoughts when I took the tray off where 'Oh Pooh, Crankshaft Oil Seal'. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Mark

    Oil Leak

My TDi was dribbling a little oil, but it was coming from the sump plug. I'd put an Aluminium sump plug washer on my sump plug after I'd serviced it, but it never really sealed it properly. I replaced it with a copper washer instead and that sorted it out, but it was a little unnerving as I couldn't see exactly where it was coming from, because the circulating air had blown it all over the place. It was only a small dribble, but obvoiusly over a period of time it looked worse than it was. What you need to do is identify exactly where it is coming from, fingers crossed it may be something simple, just like a sump plug washer. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  9. Alternatively if you know, or are friendly with any MOT testers ask them to put your car on the brake rollers for 2 minutes. If at a constant pedal pressure the needle fluxuates up and down then you have warped discs. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  10. Top marks for effort me thinks. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Don't really know if I like it now.....Hell that's easy to say when it's someone elses car isn't it??!! I was so so close to doin that to my Arosa I can tell you. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  11. Ha Ha Ha....I don't beleive it. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> After hitting a badger a little while ago I have almost finished resmoothing a new bumper and was so very close to doing exactly the same thing with my Arosa. It's not everyones taste but the idea appealed to me. It will be interesting to see the finished item. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  12. Not sure bud, but if they do I have a brand new set of EBC Green Stuff pads here of that pattern. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> The pads I have here are EBC Green stuff DP21064 and they retail at £49.48 at Motorsortworld. I can not give a defo yes or no answer as my TDi doesn't have ABS so I'm not 100% sure....sorry. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  13. I have T1R Toyos on my 16" Volcanos and they are fab and have recently fitted F1s on my 15" winter wheels that I am running at present and am very very impressed with them too. A mate got me my F1s but I usually deal with Mytyres, they really are very good, never had any trouble with them what so ever. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  14. My advise...sell your 1litre and buy a GTi, it's a lot easier. It's not just the engine that your going to need to change is it, it will undoubtedly be brakes, suspension plus things like exhaust, etc. Then you'll be looking for Gti interior probably? Just seems to be the easier option to me!? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

  16. Not a problem Wayne. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Looked at several different ones and they are all between $250-350 mate. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  17. Well I've made my mind up, I will be picking up one of these up in two weeks time. I'm back off to the good ole US of A for 4 weeks and have pre ordered one of these to bring back home. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=...erID=232&KICKER Mark
  18. Once again, good luck Paul I'm sure you'll pull it owf mate! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  19. Hi guys, thanks for the replies. Tigz I just wanted to roll front and rear arches, not flaring them just yet. It had been a while since I last saw the tool on this forum and like I said the search facility came up with nothing. Cheers Tigz and Exxxtreme Arosa style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  20. As an Ex Police officer myself I wholly agree with the above......'You lucky git' style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  21. I can remember seeing a while ago a drawing of an arch rolling tool, made from a car body jack and various other bits and pieces all welded together. I can't find it using the search tool....help!! The drawing gave all the dimensions, etc. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Ta in advance. Mark

    L4UPO

    I've seen loads of cars with that plate on....come to think of it, I think mine is showing L4UPO this week. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Only joking Rob! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  23. Many congratulation on the birth of Baby Freddie, but sorry to here that your other baby has to go. Never mind mate, at least you've got an oil burner now (join the club) and a potentially quick one too. My best mate at work has one of the Boras that you are getting and it's remapped in that deep blue colour....absolute flyer. All the best Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  24. Good point Wayne, this is something that a lot of people seem to forget when doing this mod. I usually run 16" OZ Volcanos, but my winter wheels (which I have on at present) are 15" BSAs and with the sticky balancing weights on the inside of the wheel give me approx 5mm of clearance between the weights and my caliper.. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
