  2. I shall be told. Cheers then dudes, ill avoid
  3. Hi all, can someone photochop a set onto my lupo to see if they'd look any good? Or does someone have a pic of a lupo with them on? Ta
  4. I'll second that; i've nearly ended up on the golf course on that stretch a few times. Oh and Crusoe theres a difference between 'regulary blowing 70 or 80' and a gust A gust will give a car, especially a lupo a good old push, where as regualar wind you just compensate because its constant.
  5. Oh great, just what i want in the pissing down rain Got any hints as to where its at?
  6. Bulbs are OK, fuse is OK... any ideas? (Incidentally I noticed they'd stopped working about a week after my alarm was fitted... I dont know if theyre releated, ie they could have not worked straight after the alarm was fitted but I cant be sure) Thanks UPDATE ive just called the alarm guy and he said 'its not the alarm.. BUT he did have a lupo in last week and there's a 2 pin switch 'by the gearbox' that had failed.. bout 8 quid from VW' Anyone got any more info on this part / can I do it myself? Thanks
  7. hmm ok ill take a look there. Also, ive pulled my mat up, and in the passenger footwell theres a big black rubber gromet covering a hole. This hole seems to have a vent next to it. Now my Passat used to have a drainage hole here for the air con system.. if that got blocked, it would flood the carpet. Is this gromet anything to do with drainage?
  8. Ok, my car is parked on my sloping driveway, sloping 'forward' and I reverse onto it. During the heavy rain of the past few days, im getting a puddle of water in the front passenger footwell. My passenger door seal appears to have a trough of water on it after the rain. So the water appears to be getting inside somehow, sitting on the rubber door strip around the inside of the car (just below the front passenger door speaker), then falling into the footwell when the pool is big enough. How is the water getting in chaps and chapesses?
  9. I did infact buy it from wales, from my mate who lives infact 10 minutes up the road This is my.. 7th VW, had a G40, bahnbrenner corrado, corrado VR, 2 passat 1.8T's, Polo mk4! Here it is with the full frontal, on the old audi wheels:
  10. Hi all, here's my lupo TDI, just put new Ronal shoes on, enjoy!
  11. yep just checked the fuses, ok there. im bloody hoping its the bulbs, cant be doing with any wiring issues.
  12. ive bought a new battery today, 7 years is a good innings i think. I was thinking fuse because the've both dont work
  13. Hi. Any idea what fuse controls the reverse lights? My carha an episode thismorning and since then - no reverse lights. Car was frozen up thismorning. Turned the ignition key.. nothing. LED's in the clocks fade out to nothing. Hmm. try again, nthing. So i assume the battery is too cold (its 7 years old now!) so pop the bonnet and let the sun get ontoit for 10 minutes and bingo, enough juice to manage a turnover and start. pHEW! But my reverse lights have now gone
  14. I popped to VAG today to get a battery genuine VAG 61 amp (for my lupo tdi), the guy saud they've upgraded them recently, mentioned more cells or some such, and then took £97 off me.
  15. I had to run my old Bahn Brenner on 99 and I used Tesco's, never had any fuel problems. Just deafness caused by that bloody supercharger.
  16. Tried the hammer and screwdriver method, started buggering up the metal on the nut though I'll see if i can find out where they were ordered from and see if i can get one from a retailer if nobody's got any around?
  17. Na i need the bigger diameter one for the rears Im in South Wales Ern
  18. Right, getting desperate, ill paypal you £25 for the use of a spanner. Will post it back when im done.
  19. I've got ronal ls's (7.5 inch wide) and 195.45.15's on them. Its quite low, but ive had to roll my arches....
  20. Hi all. Ive borrowed a mates coilover spanners to jack the car up a bit (now have ronal ls's) but the rear coilover nut thing is alot bigger than the 'standard' nut. Can anyone with FK Coilies lend me (ill pay all postage plus cash for letting me borrow it) or can someone sell me one of their spares? Its got to be the larger diameter one to ajust the rear cup nut thing. Cheers all
  21. To further this discussion... last winter I has a set of brand new merc amg replica wheels on my old passat 20vt and they had a polished and laquered lip on them and I was a bit paranoid. But Id give them a quick wash when I got home if the roads were salty and it had been raining and I gave them a waxing once a week (if it was dry) and they kept sparkly and clean through out the winter
  22. ah, so if i bought 160mm speakers id not need them?
  23. Hi, im about to buy some speakers for my rear apetures. If I get 165mm would I need the adaptor ring because theyd be the right size for the holes if u get my meaning?
  24. You can get a sheet of 6ft by 4 ft plasterboard in it. Two if your feeling brave
  25. Good choice for a first car. Now hang onto ir for a few years. Because soon you'll be bitten by the 'oh my god in need a bigger / faster car' bug. Which I was bitten with. You'll buy a faster car. Itll be great for a while. Then you'll want a faster car. And a faster car. And before you know it your spending £10 a day on fuel..... Stick with the Lupo for as long as you can
