  1. No harm in trying, I've tried appealing twice, had one cancelled (due to poor signage) and had to pay the other
  2. this is by far the coolest thing i have ever seen on this forum
  3. i love it! and i'm not just saying that because i know the fella who built it and i know how much work he's put into it but seriously, the only thing i'm not a fan of is the over-smoothed rear!
  4. i hadn't heard of alternator damage whilst changing the belt but now having done it i can see that it could be easily done
  5. cheers for the advice fella, bit gutted because i sold my adapters about 9 months ago and now wish i'd kept them!
  6. just fitted mine this morning, was a hell of a tight fit though, must be a b***h on the GTis luckily the only thing i needed to get off to access it was the exhaust manifold cover and a second man to help get the belt on! £135 later, Renée is back on the road
  7. thats the thing i've seen teledials and D90's but never cookie cutters! as far as i understand it, looks like the offset might be a problem...this has tempted me!
  8. hmmm so all GTi lads so far...any non-GTi lads tried this? cheers
  9. is your uni choice based on the local lupo-density?
  10. is changing the alternator an easy job? i.e. i've done quite a few jobs but never an alternator
  11. exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday funnily enough! all of the above plus the windscreen wipers got REALLY slow... a bit dangerous but lots of fun off to euro car parts in the morning...
  12. As above, looking for ideas for the summer and really had the urge to put cookie cutters on my Mk2 Golf this time last year, just wondered if anybody had tried it on a Lupo and whether they had any problems? Any advice much appreciated! Ashley
  13. It's called a joke. On a serious note, giving it to Rooney now would break him. Plus he shags grannies. Stevie G would be a decent choice but he's got the affray charge and hes a dirty scouser! As much as I am not a fan of Becks, if he goes to the WC it should be as captain given his experience. Barry is also a good shout and if David James goes as No. 1, why not him if he can get enough games this season? Most experienced head there, has captained at club level and seems to get better with age...
  14. wayne bridge for captain
  15. maybe if she wasn't carrying so many pies in her handbag she would have had a more even weight distribution preventing her from losing traction and cracking her fringe
  16. i've used them a couple of times, like it's been said as long as the chip is quite far from the edge of the windscreen and it't not directly in your line of sight when driving they're absolutely fine although i'd give it slightly more curing time than the instructions say, especially if you're doing it in the cold
  17. feelin it! really got the urge to get banded steels on my sport when finances permit!
  18. on my old loop i had a front/back drop of 60/40 with no problems after 5000 miles but i'd imagine that the standard shocks would need replacing sooner rather than later
