  1. I scrubbed the wheel arch with 195x50x15's on full lock and with the amount I'd lowered on the kw v2's it also rubbed under bumps at higher speed such as on motorways etc.
  2. The Janspeed is a pretty decent system with a 50mm bore - not the lightest of systems but pretty sturdy. it is now only available with the 3" twin tailpipes >Janspeed exhaust - Lupo GTi The Scorpion is the cheapest option, and also has a 50mm bore. comes with a 155mm x 100mm oval tailpipe. not always as resilient as have had a few hangers come off these, but the majority of them are fine.. > Scorpion exhaust - Lupo GTi The Kam Racing exhaust is a 57mm bore and comes with a choice of twin 3" or 6"x4" oval tailpipes. If you want a quieter system we can supply it with a centre silencer also. I have the centre silencer on mine and its not intrusive for pottering around but you still get a good noise when the revs go up.. As with all the products we develop the main focus is on build quality and performance and this does not disappoint. Its still fairly new and most have gone to the continent so there are not many on the UK roads but feedback has been all positive... > Kam Racing exhaust - Lupo GTi The Bastuck is the most expensive of the systems and has the largest bore at 63mm. its good quality system but not suitable for most GTi's due to the larger bore being geared for top end race use such as the Group A rally class where the power output is a lot higher >Bastuck exhaust - Lupo GTi personally I would not go for any custom system where they do not do much (if any) development as I know it is easier to loose power when creating an exhaust than it is to gain any. I have seen countless modified cars on rolling roads getting less than standard performance due to poorly designed custom exhausts.
  3. what part of them do you mean? never seen any issues with K&N filter elements..
  4. from what we've seen the cotton filters are better flowing than the foam filters. The BMC ones are one of the best of these as they have barely any rubber seepage from the frame onto the cotton gauze.. K&N follow closely behind
  5. Cat Cams have not worked out any profiles yet for the belt drive 1.6 16v engines yet - they need to take some more measurements from the head we've sent them before they finalise the design.. I'll post up a thread as soon as we get more details..
  6. For a decat manifold and the system with the oval tailpipe it works out at £889.99 the manifold with a sports cat combined with the oval tailpipe system works out at £1,019.99 >Kam Racing Manifold - Lupo GTi >Kam Racing Exhaust System - Lupo GTi
  7. The Eibach springs are without a doubt the best.. They use top quality materials and their springs are progressively wound so they improve the performance without loosing any ride quality..
  8. The B10's are not a common choice but we've had really good feedback on the couple we've sold..
  9. erm you can though...
  10. I disagree, Green stuff are totally useless pretty much all the time. from the cars I've driven with them on I would rather have OE
  11. on mine it is noticeably less lumpy on the throttle from cold when using Vpower - even over BP ultimate..
  12. Why do you say ignore the CL pads? have you tried them - I think they're fantastic on mine personally
  13. neither are in their catalogue so looks like both would need to be special ordered. I'm looking into whether they will definitly still make them and if so will get prices..
  14. As far as I can see there are no Bilstein coilovers for the Lupo..
  15. The AP coilovers are probably the best you can get on a tight budget: » AP Coilovers The cheapest you can get is the FK AK on our club deal for £200. » Club Deals With any cheap coilover kit there are compromises to get the cost down - with the FK AK it is from not having rear height adjusters. With the rebranded kits like the TA Technix / Jamex / Raceland etc. it is from cheaper lower quality components. The best kits on the market are currently the KW ones which we can also supply, but we should have something lined up shortly which should be even better..
  16. We still sell the Aluminium one from OMP. I think we are the only place you can still get them new as they are a discontinued line that we've been getting specially made for us.. » VW Lupo 1.4 16v / 1.4 TDi strut brace
  17. As mentioned on our site; the kit is for people that have upgraded their cars to be able to fit the VW Corrado G60 front brake discs. So you would need the carriers. Are you William Shatner by the way - The Use Of Caps Make Every Word Its Own Sentence

yep it will fit though you'll need to source a 16mm oil breather filter unless you are going down the catch tank route as the breather filter is included as part of the kit: > BMC Breather filter
  19. it hasn't been tested on a sport yet but as far as I'm aware they both fit in the same way
  20. yep we're one of the main suppliers of Raceland in the UK.. > Raceland Manifold If you'r prepeared to wait a little bit; we have just developed a manifold thats a direct fit for the GTi - should have prices and dyno graphs being sent across to us anytime now as the finalised prototypes of this and our new exhaust system are now on my car
  21. were both of those brand new discs? I've just weighed some new Maxtorq Group N discs and the G60 disc was 5.5kg and the gti disc 6kg.. if you can lock the wheels under braking you will need better tyres or less weight in the car to reduce stopping times.. in terms of pads I'd reccomend the CL Brakes RC5+ compound. Unlike other manufacturers (who use organic compounds) they use sintered metal compounds which aren't restricted to small temperature bands to have an effective friction level - they work from cold right to over 1000 degrees celsius (which is higher than f1 cars operate at) at a consistant friction level so you will never get any fade from them.. Also sintered metal compounds do not transfer any pad material onto the disc so they don't need to be bedded in. It is the uneven transfer of pad material from organic compounds that people commonly refer to as warped discs.. The RC5+ is a high friction compound designed for light car applications and produces minimal dust / noise under braking.. > CL Brakes RC5+ pads
  22. how long before we see kung fu bear fighting star wars kid..
  23. yeah, that project is not going to be finished soon though. a huge amount of development time is needed to get it right..
  24. We'll beat the price Mad Motors are offering if you want to go for the AP's.. pm me or give us a call for details..
