  1. Nah I had lupo ones lying around because I was due new pads/discs anyway and they are supposed to fit. You got yours on without any issue?
  2. So, these don't fit. As in they fit on the car and the discs fit, but the brake pads do not due to the bit the pads sit on being different. Here's a couple of pics are these just useless then, or is there a pad that will fit??
  3. Very handy this as I have some pop out windows sitting here waiting for warmer weather to be put in. Some helpful tips!
  4. Fair enough, I'll remove it all then, not messing about blind! Was actually just thinking that about upgrading the speakers while they're out. Why not throw some more money at it while i'm messing about! 😀
  5. Haha fair one, I've replaced both regulators on my old car so I do know the logistics of it. Just on this car it still has the original speakers so they will need drilling out where as my old car had aftermarkets screwed in. Much easier Thought you might just be able to lower the window to the bottom and do it from there. sigh 🙄
  6. Need to replace these as my window is loose and rattles when i close the door with the window down. Can you replace them without taking the regulator out of the door??
  7. Was thinking shadow chrome for mine, but I think I want them a bit lighter than that. Probably just going to get something thats a close match to the original finish! Managed to get myself an Arosa dash for free, so I took the centre stereo surround out and painted the surrounds on the vents to match the car, finally got around to swapping it over today! Always preferred the round vents, think they suit the style of the Lupo a lot more than the boring stock ones! I have two spare side vents aswell, was thinking of doing them gloss black to match the top of the binnacle? I think doing them blue aswell would look too much
  8. Anyone know if MTEC are any good? They do some at a pretty decent price
  9. I just spent £120 on some mapco ones about 2 weeks ago 🙄🙄 typical!

    Help!

I had AP coilovers on my last car, They're sort of in the mid range I guess. They are really good for the money!
  11. Well, to be fair I have been after them a good couple of years, just so hard to get hold of! Finally managed to get a set from Germany, Can't wait to get them sorted and on the car! Appreciate that, thanks! Do try to keep it as clean as possible. Hard work this time of year! 🙄 Just got the carriers today, Hopefully going to get them on in the next few weeks
  12. I was putting my original alloys back on today as I'm intending to sell the JR18s, so while I was there, I thought I'd share a peek at what's to come. I've also got some G60 carriers on the way, so brakes will be getting an upgrade! 😉
  13. A Jap import that isn't as clean as this?
  14. bloody hell, that is one clean Lupo!
  15. Nice Lupo, enjoyed the story aswell! They do seem to get under your skin, these little cars!
  16. Basically went off what you said! Very helpful, cheers!
  17. Sorted it out this morning. Pretty easy job to be honest. Undid the rear two fuel tank strap bolts so it dropped a couple of centimetres to help me push the line through, disconnected and pulled out the old line, then pushed the new one through and connected it all back up. Everything is now working perfectly. Only took about an hour. Cheers for the help!
  18. Probably was a bit of luck, i did look into how you remove them, though I'm fairly sure that the previous filter was the original one from new which can't have helped! Cheers for a more detailed description on how getting it off works though, I suppose its one of those things that's simple when you know the proper way!
  19. Ordered one from VW, It was only 33 quid. For that its probably better to have a new one. Any tips on how to replace it or does it just feed down through easily enough?
  20. I possibly was, but the other side came off easily enough. The full end of the line, clip and everything has snapped off. Its the hose that goes from the top of the tank down to the filter are they the same on all lupos? And is it easy to replace? as in can i do it on my driveway?
  21. How hard is it to replace the fuel line from the tank to the filter? And is VW the only place to get one? I have managed to snap the end off the line trying to get the filter off as nothing at all was budging it
  22. Cheers mate! Nah I didn't realise that, kinda sucks! My insurance is due Jan and I was actually thinking of looking at a more specialist place to insure it anyway. Will have to have a chat with them when it comes to it! Small update, got myself a custom steering wheel! Flat bottom like the newer VW ones but with the standard lupo centre so theres no issues with airbag/horn! Love it
  23. cheers! I can yeah, it's 6R0035849
  24. A few more pictures, Nothing has really changed apart from a few interior knobs and switches. Really need to remove those window tints.
