  1. Thanks! Yea i did, Calvin woods on here with his silver rally car gave me the idea. also did and overlay (many layers) on the original underpan to try and help out. do you mean a fuel cell? not sure on the exact regs but i know that the stock tank is good to go
  2. Door cards yes, Speakers nope Its a dehumidifier haha It was in for when the cage was bare metal before it got painted to stop and surface corrosion.
  3. Hi All, ive been meaning to document this build however its kept slipping my mind so here we go. We've had the car for around 4 years now, the first 2 it was my daily and the past 2 years it was the girlfriends daily. Weve both wanted to do rallying and thought why not convert the lupo. So ill let these photos do the talking. There are only a few little bits to sort out before it can get its MSA logbook. I will add some detail in future posts when I make progress. Cheers

  5. Update time, holed up a spare used sensor aswell as a proper gauge, no more light (goes off and stays off with ignition on????) but have over psi cold and goes to 20 warm idle. now to sort my fan issue

Hi all, the fan on my gti isn’t coming on, I can’t say I recall it ever coming on previously but it isn’t now and after plugging into a obd sensor it got up to 105 and didn’t kick in. ive bridged the switch connector and the fan comes on however keeps blowing the 20amp fuse in the engine bay. im leaning on it being the fan switch, however....... I’ve found the fan relay under the passenger wing, is not connected at all, no signs of any plugs or connectors, the terminals are all corroded and look like they have never had any plugs on them. any one with experience with this able to clear this up? cheers
  7. Hi all, I have just put back together the interior on the lupo after having it stripped for around 3 months. I started the car and the oil light came on after maybe 10 seconds. so i switched her off. ( i have oil on max.) Initial thoughts were dodgy pressure switch as this was never an issues before hand, however, in all other cars i own the light remains on until the engine starts and oil pressure builds where as the lupo doesnt. it shows when i first turn on the ignition however goes away straight away and doesnt appear again until approx 10 seconds. I started it again a few times with varying amounts of running time and sometimes it came on straight away, others i could run it till its hot and it not come on. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with something similar? cheers
  8. id recommend a thermostat in your oil cooler system, otherwise it'll take ages to get up to temperature and could cause more harm than good. Mocal do one in their sandwhich plate, or mishimoto do a serpate unit Looking good though, What was the reason behind the R32 wishbone bushes over powerflex ones?

  11. Hi all, Looking into getting the KAM racing decat manifold. Seen a few post where people have said they think decat'ing' will result in limp mode on a gti? has anyone had experience with decating their gti and wether they go into limp mode? cheers

  17. Thanks matt have made sure of this and the connections dont allow the wrong side to be used on the other side Ill have to see what the plugs looks like see if theres any corrosion or anything

  19. Has anyone else has the problem where the switch will put the window down but wont bring it up? Just put in a new genuine switch and hasnt made any difference? Cheers

  22. Are they the right ones rich? Says they also fit more modern golf's and the like?
