  1. i wonder if people who linked FB to the CL site have realised that their profile on here has also been updated... open for all to see! I bet many of them don't even have any connection to Lupos anymore. I'm guessing linked directly with email address or via FB account signin? but hang on. this has only just started happening maybe a week or three ago. i can't imagine just about everyone suddenly updating deliberately. i wonder if there's some new link within the FB system that has eeked out every old trace?

go for it... what's to lose? i just do stuff and then wait and see what happens hey, i can only see benefits for the site- more visits. more ad revenue. higher rankings. more value.... it might even be bought up by one of the big guys like oath or alphabet. imagine selling clublupo for a few million! wouldn't be the nice neat, script free site it is (like now) though.
  3. yeah, and a lot of the pics are of couples, or adult and kid. very odd.
  4. I've noticed somthing odd happening on the site in the last few weeks... maybe only because I've set my lupo start page as "all activity" Old members who haven't visited for years (and probably wont ever again), have been changing their profile pics. If you check when they last visited, it says years ago. But they changed their profile a few mins ago... Is this a bot attack @MattyB ?
  5. can you operate the flash function? pull stalk towards you... that bit bypasses the main circuit. also, it is both that are not working? there may be a relay in the circuit- i can't remember... which model lupo do you have?
  6. possibly the wiring near the bulbs, or maybe the high/low beam selector switch on the indicator stalk. @Rich, what d'ya think? or @Skezza, ideas? oh, and a very warm welcome to the forum!
  7. to do a bit more diagnosis, if you're up for it, if you use the graphing function in vcds, you can get more info. do a track at idle of the lambda or oxygen sensor (depending on what it's called in the app-cant remember...). wait til the engine is warmed up and get a plot of the voltage. post the pic here with the crank sensor timing as a reference and we'll be able to tell you exactly whats going on in the engine.

Any progress on these? different fonts? colours available?
  9. unlikely, as the main feed splits many ways. me thinks lucky coincidence.
  10. does the radiator fan come on when hot? could also be a duff thermostat fan switch. overheats when moving or when stationary, or both? if only when stationary, then most likely thermostat fan switch. if both, then coolant thermostat. or could be something much worse like head gasket or cracked head, but unlikely. is also possibly plastic water pump impellor has sheared off inside the pump housing (does happen). as the engine warms up, you can feel the hoses. if the thermostat is stuck closed, the hot water wont make it to the radiator which will stay coolish or only slightly warm. if fan switch, the rad will be roasting. dont open coolant filler cap when hot! like rich says- you can see the coolant surface moving inside the header tank if pump is ok. quick diagnosis without doing any work at all!
  11. easy is relative. but yeah...
  12. really nice looking machine. may we ask what did you pay? any other details? what things are causing you grief with it, other than tabacco smells? I've never ever managed to get rid of that. Although keeping the interior really dry, like with moisture absobing crystals helps keep the smell down. oh, and welcome to our little lupo (and arosa) universe!
  13. i was going to use that as a mystery item... damn. i like the noise they make Rich's item was good. I had no idea his item was in the sills. 24h+ later... edit>>> so no responses??? headlight leveller motor. push too hard when reconnecting the plug on the back of the h4 bulb, and "pop" it jumps out...
  14. er hang on... is it the bit inside that is just above the rear seat belt thingy, behind the glass, viewed from behind?
  15. is it something that kinda fits behind the dashboard? like at the ends below the door mirrors...
  16. ah, in that case, judging by the colour of the foam, it must be interior padding.... from around the edge of a seat or below a seat frame? Maybe some sort of seat/side airbag cover?
  17. have you peered underneath the car? could be gearbox gone bang.
  18. is it on all models? is the foam part of it or is that the remains of a bodgy fix... Looks a bit like the flap to access the air filter box under the front bumper (without the foam)...
  19. with that stuck on the back, we all get special treatment at saturday night maccy d burnout meets.
  20. if you can get it out in one piece, take it to your nearest pirtek or hydraulic hose service place. they'll fix it for maybe a tenner and a six pack of cold ale.
  21. is that the bit that goes in the footwell, behind the pedals? Curious choice of a very obscure part. I like it! i'm not going to cheat and read the part number off etka... Lower balljoint is correct of course for that pic I posted... ?? I'll have to find something much more tricky. something tiny me thinks... hmmmm.
  22. ok, so i'll start... here's something easy. post your replies if you dare. can you id this object?! if it's blindingly obvious to you hold back as there might be an entertaining guess!
